Freezing Mary

Here is another photo of the snow storm that hit New York City last Friday.

This photo was taken in front of a church in my neighborhood. I like the picture a lot because the statue of Mary, who was holding Jesus, looked like it was really cold. The blanket of snow in the background looked pristine and beautiful.

Yes, the statue in the snow heightens the image of a protective mother with her child.

No doubt you are eagerly waiting for Spring to spring forth, as we are too here in Canada. Snow here too, but not as much as you.... and just when it looked like the warmer weather was here to stay too! Brrrrr!

Yep, she looks real snowy and cold. We got rid of all snow during last week and we don’t want it back. Not this season.
