This is a macro shot of a tree trunk bordering Central Park on 5th Avenue on the Upper East Side. I don't know what kind of tree it is but every tree here has this interesting eruption of bark that gives it an interesting character. It makes it look old and wrinkled.
So if someone were to label you with an adjective or two (or three), what word(s) would that be?
Funny, sweet, politically incorrect.
ReplyDeleteSome would probably give me the "curmudgeon" label :)
ReplyDeleteThis tree could be a conifer, maybe a pine. An adjective for me? Ahem...blond! Hope not a dumb one.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's 'stupidly altruistic'. yes,I admit it, kind of difficult to change.
ReplyDeleteOld, wrinkled, with eruptions, could all apply to me too! What a coincidence!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Ming. I adore old trees and their gorgeous bark.
ReplyDeleteThe tree....looks like some old wizard's fingers protruding from the inner..:O
ReplyDeleteWell, that's what I saw
Not sure what people would use to label me, but I hope its not old and wrinkled.
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me like the limb that grew here was broken off by a hoodlum. You can see where the bark comes out and follows what would have been the rest of the limb. A total shame but the tree seems to have survived OK.
ReplyDeleteGood for the tree.
Ming...I'm not so sure what type of tree...but it is a strong survivor and has somehow weathered the storm....
ReplyDeleteto describe myself...blue eyed, fair, smiling and mature....:)
Amazing photo, Ming!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of an adjective offhand, but I hope it's not old and wrinkled.
ReplyDeleteI do love trees, and I agree that the bark adds such interest to that one (and all, actually).
ReplyDeleteAdjectives? Open-minded, nice, fair. . . . .
Yes, all those gnarls make for an interesting shot.
ReplyDeleteAdjectives, hmmm. Must they be repeatable in polite society?
A bit like James Bond, the tree is shaken not stirred.
ReplyDeleteThere's a group on Flickr for tree bark... You've reminded me that I have a slew of shots I need to post there!
