Lights & Shadows

This photo shows a renovated parking complex (it was probably a warehouse before) across the street from Cinema Village on 12th Street between 5th Avenue and University Place. I was standing outside the small movie theater when I saw this interesting light-and-shadow image of the building. Also, the sky has this perfect blue that was just breathtaking.

No question today. Am having writer's block. :-)

  1. Blog writing is hard sometimes. And sometimes it's hard finding a photo that says something you want to say. That's ok. Everyday is a new one and opportunity comes knocking when least expected. FWIW, I like the mystery conveyed by your photo.

  2. Love the dark tones here.
I have a question for you: "what movie did you watch?" Man on wire?

  5. Uh, that's a parking building? I think I'd be too scared to park there at night.

    So what did you watch?

  6. I too like the eerie quality of this photo. Even I, who have been known to talk the ears off a billy goat, suffer from writer's block from time to time. Somedays I just want to put my picture up and say, " Here's my picture today, hope you like it!" HA

  7. Reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock movie set.

  8. Oh, a building dripping with a shadow ganache. It's lovely, especially with that contrasting sky.
My head is full of noise, and I usually tap it out on the keyboard in three-quarter time, but sometimes I get writers and photographers block!

  11. The sky is a perfect blue. That's such an interesting shot! I'm glad to know that Cinema Village is still there. I like the smaller movie houses and that's a good one. They usually show the arty movies.

  13. Great contrast. I love the way the sky gets so blue in the evening in summer time.

  14. It looks a bit ominous but interesting too. Great light.

I like your challenge, but it won't be as easy as the nuns. Watch my blog...it might just happen!
