This statue of a lion is one of two giant structures that sits in front of the New York City Public Library on 5th Avenue and 42nd Street. Instead of taking the regular head-on shot or side profile of the lion, I decided to take the photo from beneath the pedestal it was sitting on. When I got home and looked at the photo, it reminded me of the fairy tale of the lion with a thorn in his paw.So what is your favorite fairy tale?
