This is the stoop of the famous apartment (66 Perry Street) where Carrie Bradshaw, a character on the tv-series Sex & the City, supposedly lived. There were numberous scenes in the show where Carrie sat on the stairs leading up to the building while hanging out with her friends or waiting for Mr. Big to show up. Although she lived on Upper East Side, most of the exterior scenes of her apartment were shot here in the Village.
This photo is dedicated to Missy of Norfolk, UK because she is as much a fan of Carrie Bradshaw as I am. So here to you, kid.
Have a good weekend, everyone.

A beautiful charming old house. I like the slightly pink stone and the ornamented grids.
I Love you! Look at it! Oh the memories. Lets hope we see it in the film! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Love Missy xxxxxx
This strikes me as a wonderfully "typical" New York scene. Like the grill work.
Remember several scenes of the four of them (less and more)sitting on stoops, this brought back memories of the series (and the dialogue). Thanks for the photo.
This is so evocative of what we think of as a New York apartment building. Love the colour, the leaves, the ironwork, the shape of the windows - and of course - your photograph.
Nice stoop. Nice doorway. Would you believe I've never seen Sex & the City before? One of these days, I'll catch one of the reruns.

A beautiful Village house, and with connections...
Thanks for the pizza, not in the mood; but the Petit Cafe is gorgeous!
Have a great weekend!
It reminded me of the steps from "Sesame Street".
Great shot. I am a total Sex in the City fan!
FYI.....she lives directly around the corner from that building, at 57 Charles Street. There are usually photographers waiting to get a shot of Matthew and little James, leaving their 4 story townhouse.
YES!!!!!!!! This is IT!!! I always knew something was weird. Where in the UES can you find a house with such entrance. Something is wrong anyway: how can a girl with a serious fashion addiction and an extremely low paid job can afford such an appartment, eh? Ah, the magic of tv... Can't wait for the film!!
LOVE this architecture, Ming! Really a very nice apartment! Great photo!
It is Carrie's place. I am glad to know it is not where I thought it was because when I come to New York I have to go there. I know it is corny but I so loved that show. I got HBO just to watch it!
