This is the Fanelli Cafe on Prince street and Mercer Street in SoHo. The restaurant bar has been around since the 1800's and it is still a popular hang out place among the locals and tourists alike. I have had some decent sandwiches here after an afternoon of wandering the streets for photo-op.
So how often do you go out to take photographs?

The Fanelli Cafe made its first appearance on this blog last November 27th.
I loooove all the reds in this picture, with just that touch of pale blue neon! I love the rust too.
I always carry my little camera with me, because I don't want to miss anything spontaneous that comes up. But going out to a particular place with photo taking in mind only happens about once a week. I know you had said that you feel like you go to the same places too much, and that happens to me too. The south half of town just doesn't interest me visually as much as the north half, but I really should try to see what I can find down there for some fresh ideas.
I always have my camera in my bag. So, whenever I go out I take photos. I don't go out just to take photos. Maybe not until I open my daily photo!
Oops, I forgot to say I really like this photo!
j'ai toujours mon APN avec moi, donc je prends des photos presque tous les jours quand un sujet me plais.
I always have my camera with me, so I take pictures almost every day when a subject I enjoy.
Once or twice a week ... and I also like a break at a café or a bar!
I'm a slave. I go several times a week and feel guilty on the days that I don't. I have the old camera in the car at all times, so often just catch something while driving around.
Fantastic sign , Ming. Actually this is a scene you could find in one or two places in Sydney.
I take my camera everywhere with me, and usually like to get out for at least an hour on the weekend with a special purpose aim in mind. But I have years of ideas left in me yet!
Every day! :-)
I really love this sign. It really makes this corner, don't you think?
Great pictures like this one remind me that I don't take my camera with me nearly often enough. I'm always seeing things just like this that make me kick myself for not carrying it all the time.
That said, I do shoot every week at least, doing the food shots for my blog. Giving myself a concrete reason [and deadline] to do photography on a regular basis is one of the pleasures I get from blogging.
I've only been to SoHo a few times, but this photo gives me the feeling I remember when I was wandering around there (look out! tourist looking up at signs!)
I keep my camera with me, never know what I'll see, and once in a while I take a deliberate tour in search of interesting images.
Thanks for capturing some of old Soho Ming Man!
I've heard of this restaurant and someday maybe I'll try a sandwich from there. Since I started my blog, I pretty much take my camera everywhere I go and am always looking for a photo op.
I try to remember to take my camera with me everywhere, but sometimes I forget, and of course, that's the day I see something that just asks to be photographed...
For me this is fabulous New York shot. I know for you it's there all the time, but to me it's the movies jumpimg off the page.
Workwise shooting wherever whenever.
My time, always some sort of camera with me, always something to shoot.
Try and leave sundays free. Not on any religious grounds, mainly beacuse I tend to have a hangover. If I get an assingment on a sunday, I'm such a bad tempered b. I charge double.
I like the reds! I go out at least two or three times a month to purposely take blog photos. Then again, my camera is usually with me to catch the unexpected!
I take photos everyday. I used to eat (& drink) at Fanelli's when I lived in the village. Nice shot!
Never been there, but passed by it a million times.
I love that sign and you captured it perfectly with the reddish wall properly lit aND THE NEON SHOWING GREAT! oPPS caps lock!
I love Fanelli's. It's nice to sit at the bar and order a burger and a coke. I love the red on red - sweet.
I shoot like Valeria - I have my camera with me whenever I go outside. Every time I hit the sidewalk it's an adventure.
Love the sign. Love the colors. Love the juxtaposition of the neon sign, the traffic sign with its stickers and the building.
