The sign on this coffee shop window says: Don't Use Cash! Save 5% of all purchases using any form of payment (credit, debit) or Just Roasted Coffee Card. That is strange indeed as most stores prefer cash over credit or debit payments.
So do you think this is just another publicity stunt by the coffee shop OR do they really benefit from credit and debit purchases?

...and you'll receive a whopping 25% discount if you pay with the micro chip planted under your skin!
Brave new world is upon us.
Happy New Year!! :)
Maybe you need to taste their coffee before trying to figure it out. Neat signage though.
I think it's a way to rise from the moltitude!
MERRY (belated) Christmas!
hm...probably.
Maybe they are banking on people not paying their credit card bill? So many stores have their own credit cards these days. It's really the last thing we need.
Hope you're relaxing at home and enjoying the long weekend!
It doesn't have any sense, if not for a publicity stunt or worse a credit card fraud. Let us know better!
This makes sense in more than one way. Using your credit card is, one: Wise spending will help stimulate the the economy and, two: paperless transactions are good for ecological reasons.
Since nobody has any cash these days that's one way to put folks deeper in debt. Geezzzz!
Look out Ming. Big Bad Bob is winging his way to the Big Apple and he's packing his new camera. You all try to stay one step ahead of the law!

On a more practical level, it is good protection against loss in case of a hold-up or burglary.
Well, it's a new one on me. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a sign like this.
Hmmmm, sounds very weird to me. I hate it when anyone encourages any form of borrowing - that's why the world is in the deep s... it is in!
Hope the coffee is good.
Weird!! Maybe they have some special incentive?
Scary!
This is soooo hilarious!
I know Clueless is in Boston, but honestly, I've never found any merchant agreement that didn't take a small percentage of the transaction from the merchant. Odd ... to say the least.
That is strange. Where is this place anyway?
It is clearly a signal to hold-up men
to find a place with real money in the
till...BB
Things are very expensive here, so you need to pay using plastic? Hmmm ;-)
