Subway Art @ Prince Street

Janet Zweig and Edward del Rosario are the artists who created the ceramic mosaics that are currently installed on the walls of the subway station at Prince Street in SoHo. The ceramic artwork depicts regular New Yorkers going on with their every day lives.

Initially, I was going to post a photo of the ceramic artwork but I found this photo to be more amusing because of my reflection on the vandalized steel plate. To see the photos of the ceramic artwork, click here.

So how often do you look at yourself in the mirror? Do you talk to yourself in the mirror?

i gave up talking to my image on the mirror, after i had a quarrel with the image and it refused to talk to me ever since. hmmpph!

les oeuvres de Janet Zweig sont vraiment tres surprenantes.
Comme Keropok Man, tous les matins, sinon en photo, dans certain reflet ;o)

Works by Janet Zweig are really very surprising.
As Keropok Man, every morning, if not in picture, in some reflection ;o)

Hahahaha - cool take on the photo. PLUS I think you're much more interesting than ceramic mosaics! ;oP

I look at myself in the mirror....every morning at least, just to check I'm positioning my toothbrush in the right place!!

I like your post.

Also, mirrors reveal who your father is.

That's a cool pic, Ming. I'll be at that station today, on my way to the Apple store.

Difficult to keep outdoor (or subway)art in good shape, especially the modern art!
I indirectly answered your question already yesterday. I like oldmanlincoln's comment.

That's an interesting shot! I wouldn't have noticed your reflection in the photo if you hadn't pointed it out. That's very cool.

I try not to look in the mirror any more than is necessary!

Creative reflection photograph.:) Public art vandalism is frequent here in Miami. Clicked through to Janet Zweig's site, like the mosaic image of New Yorkers.

I love the photographs on your site of NYC(from my perspective--I was there for a week a few years ago. I admit to city bus tours :)). You have very unusual themes, they feel NYC.

huh...so the "scatchers" plague NYC, too. There's not a single bus shelter in the UK that isn't scratched.

Mirrors reveal who your father is, lincoln? Uh... hi daddy!
That is a fun post, Ming. I knew it was you even if I couldn't really tell, lol.
I like that ceramic installation and its title. It's very cute and still very clean. I've never see it. Ah the things I still have to discover! :)

I can imagine the person standing there scratching the steel plate. That must have taken a long time. And a lot of work. ;-)

Hmmm.. I think the only time I look at the mirror is when I brush my teeth. How about you?

hahaha funny ming! I love your questions!
I look to my self in the mirror everytime I go to the bathroom! i guess it's like 6 or 7 times a day... well, maybe more I don0t really know. And of course I talk to myself very often... now I'm doing it!! ;)

Interesting, three different layers: you in the reflection, the inscription and the damage done.
