What Annoys You Most About Your City?

February 1st is Daily Photo Theme Day. The theme this month is: what annoys you most about your city.

Mine is car alarms going off at 3:00 AM outside my bedroom window but that is hard to translate into photography. So I'm going for the crowded subway train.

I didn't sign up on time to be included in the Daily Photo Theme List but you can check the list out from the guy who started this daily photo blog in the first place - Eric of Paris Daily Photo.

You need to get some earplugs!

I've only been on a crowded subway once...and the person holding the stap next to me was a bit...um...smelly. Not a great experience!

No worries sweety, you didn't sign up in time but we're still here to check you out. Crowds make for at least three of today's posts around the world. Interesting!

it ain't that crowded. LOL..

in singapore the trains are like the ones in your picture, but the train and minister said its only 75% capacity. we wondered how they calculated it.

we concluded that the space in the cabin right above everyone's head, that's the 25% that is not utilize. that must be it!

i have added you into my list too, you are city no 54 on my list.

c'est en effet tres enervant les alarmes de voitures la nuit, surtout que cela ne sert à rien, car personne ne sort (vu que les alarmes se mettent en marches pour n'importe quoi)

it is indeed very irritating alarms by cars the night, especially that that is not used for nothing, because nobody leaves (considering alarms are started for anything)

I hear you about the alarms - they go off at all hours here too...and sometimes for hours on end. Makes us wonder if they really do any good since nobody turns them off. :(

jing - I avoid crowded trains as much as possible, sometimes even stay back at work an extra hour to avoid the rush hour.

susan, natalie & wellspring - I called 311 to complain and now they ticket anyone whose alarms goes off for more than a couple of minutes. NYC has a "quality of life" law that allows police to ticket anyone for disrupting the peace.

ackworth, olivier & keropokman - thank you very much for adding me to the list.

Crowded subway is ok in the mornings...since I presume most people feels refreshed after taking their morning shower. Smells fresh!:D But errr....in the evening....I hate to think of a crowded subway...especially when you are TOO TALL or TOO SHORT! (No need for elaboration, right?) Just imagine..:(

Oh yes, that's very annoying... the alarm I mean! overall if it comes from your car!!ANd the crowed subway too... it gets really asphyxiating or something like that (I look for a word in the dictionary for "agobiante" but I can't find it)
I like very much this photo!

Crowds anywhere can be quite annoying but in an enclosed space it can be almost frightening!

Yeah, I hate crowded trains too....don;t we all! But car alarms are a pestilence. You should have the right to have their car permanently removed!!!

Any alarms going off at 3am would annoy me.
I get slightly claustrophobic in crowded trains so I'd hate that.
Nice photo.
