I took this photo while looking up from under a tree. It was a very spontaneous and random shot and the photo came out very nicely. I love the colors and the textures of the leaves.
Do you have a spontaneous or random shot that came out better than you expect?

What a perfect spring photo. It's really beautiful Ming. Guess it goes to show that spontaneity can be really rewarding!
le printemps dans toute sa beauté. oui il arrive souvent de prendre plein de photos en serie, et surprise d'en voir une qui est exactement ce que je revais faire. Et là, un petit moment de bonheur fugace.
Bon weekend dans la big city
spring in all its beauty. yes it often sometimes happens to take full with photographs in series, and surprised to see of them one which is exactly what I dreamed to make. And there, a small moment of fugacious happiness. Good weekend in the big city
Love the blue sky visible through the leaves. I have many random shots that turned out better than I expected. I hardly ever had that happen with film so it has taken me some time to get used to it. Now I feel that I can "waste" shots given the storage capacity of memory chips. So, I'll take plenty of shots and just try to be ruthless in deleting the missed images off my computer.
Always green !!! I love this
It is a nice shot. I do this a lot and look to see if the tree is OK.
Today, the final pictures of the series, "A Day in the Life of a Robin," is online. I couldn't decide which picture to use. I hope you get to see them.

Ah, a photo after my own heart! One of my favorite ways to photograph trees!
I'm not a good enough photographer to have a great unexpected shot...maybe someday!
This green leaves is truly amazing, Ming! I love trees and tree's photos too!
Sure, I did!
I love the modest fresh green of leaves.
Ming I love colour green! And this pic is gorgeous indeed!
I think that random photos are the best... at least the most appreciated
So pretty! The branches and the shapes of the leaves make for a beautiful shot. We feel like we are right there under the tree!
I have a photo - not unlike this - of a flowering cherry, taken in spring in my garden and I think it's a cracker. I took it on one of those disposable cameras and all I have is the actual photo - no negative or anything. Does anyone know if there is a way I could now get it made into a digital version? I'm no expert on photography or digital images hence the probably stupid question!

It's a canopy of green! Nice! I really don't plan my photos very well. I think I should start being more deliberate.
I sometimes think that the spontaneous and random shots are the only ones which turn out good. It’s probably an exaggeration but planning rarely takes me where I’d want to.
Wasn't there a song with that title?
Most of my shots are random and spontaneous! I never put much thought behind it, just go by my gut feeling...
Living in a photogenic place like Naples helps a lot ;-)
There is a fabulous green on this picture. It makes me think that New York looks much better today than last Saturday!
Still today I don't take many random pics, and immediately erase the ones I don't like...
Nice gingko. Looks just as pretty as the ones that lined my walk to the subway most mornings in my old apartment on the East Side...
Very pretty indeed! I love this picture. :D ..I find that flowers, trees and plants turn out very pretty under spontaneous and random shots.
