Literary Walk at Central Park

On Wednesday, I posted a new photo of the Central Park benches that were located at the Literary Walk. Here is the follow-up photo to the Literary Walk, which stretches from 66th Street to 72nd Street. At the end of this path are The Mall (a public square, not a shopping mall), the Bethesda Fountain and the Boathouse Restaurant.

If you are visiting New York City and have only an hour or so to see Central Park, this is the place to go. It is probably the most beautiful and popular places to visit in the park. To get here, take a taxi or the bus to the 72nd Street and 5th Avenue entrance and walk west into the park. You will see The Mall and the Bethesda Fountain after a short 10 minutes' walk.

Ming, this is an awesome photo of a wonderful looking place, so was a scene from "Maid in Manhattan" shot here or not? I asked if you knew in your last park bench post?

It's funny, I gave you a comment in your previous post but it has mysteriously disappeared. Wonder what happened there? This is the first time something like this has ever happened.

I assume this was taken before the leaves appeared? It doesn't matter to me except that I was expecting the green.

Today, I published a nest photograph and some details about its construction; and a link to some dead birds with an explanation. Oh; and thanks for coming to my blog and leaving comments. I do appreciate it.

Love this place (think it's the same walk I posted on Blogtrotter 90s with my daughter skating). The light on this photo is super. Have a nice week-end!

How funny...I was just going to comment that the trees must be in full bloom now, but I see Abraham already did!

Awesome photo & it is nice that you also tell how to get there.

Oh for the Love of Food - Yes, Maid in Manhattan were shot here. There are a couple of scenes (on the rock, strolling on the Literary Walk) that were filed here.

Sorry, I forgot to respond to your previous question on Bench IV.

Abe & Craftymoose - This was taken probably a month ago when I was on a "photo assignment". I will reveal what the photo assignment is sometime next week.

I like this photo. The row of "botak" trees, weaving in by the lamp posts.
Nice.

It really is a nice spot to walk....

I agree. I always take visitors here and pretty much only here since we don't have much time amid the other sights and tourist spots!
