Neighborhood Dogwalker 2

Last March, I posted a photo of my neighborhood dogwalker. I saw him again this week and took a new updated photo of the scene. Notice in the March photo (see below), there was a little dog following behind him without a leash? This little dog was still there (see above) and he was not on a leash either. He took his time walking behind the pack and had to be reminded a few times to keep up with the group. It was the cutest thing I saw all week and it made my day. Maybe I should quit my job and be a dog walker too.

If you love dogs, visit Pension Milou by Jilly of Menton Daily Photo who has the most amazing job, in my opinion. She cares for dogs professionally and she loves them.

When you were a kid, who did you want to grow up to be?

I'm re-posting the photo from March 2007 below because I think it deserves another look.

Awww... that's so cute! I wish I could actually be there and see how the whole group actually walk!

Some of the dogs were missing though. I wonder where they are?

Maybe on vacation in Bahamas ;-) ? But I still don't know how does this man to take care of so many and so different dogs!

Alice - I don't think the dogs are his. He is paid to walk the dogs 2 - 3 times a day. It lets the dogs get some exercise, get some fresh air, socialized with other dogs, and do their businesses.

Looks like he's lost a few clients or maybe the missing doggies are enjoying a nice vacation with their owners.

I wanted to be a.... drummer! Yep.

All these dogs, 2 or 3 times a day... pick them up, leave them back..! The guy must be quite busy. I suppose he also has some other activity, like studying...?

Anyhow, this scene looks really nice. (Wish I could be back in NY soon.)

What I wanted to be? Depends on the years, but as a small kid, maybe a sea captain!

voila un beau métier, toujours en ballade, et avec tous les parcs existant à NYC, il a de quoi faire comme promenades. c'est bien payé ?

veiled a beautiful trade, always in ballade, and with all the parks existing with NYC, it has what to make like walks. it is well paid?

It is a cute photo Ming. Does the man have to clean up after the dogs? I would think so but I do not see anything to clean up after them with.

Ming My Dear, you must be tired.. your title for today's post says Neighbourhood DOGWATER 2 HA!HA!
the poochies look sooo adorable, especially the one trailing at the back!

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen so many dogs on a leash together that well behaved. I think that would be great to be a dog walker. I don't think there's a big demand for it where I live.

that little dog is too cute, I have to wonder if it is such a little princess that is why there is no leash.

OMG - I agree. That lil dawgy in the back is way toooo cute, and may indeed have princess tendencies!! :o)

I wanted to be an English teacher for 2 weeks in my final year of high school.

This is such a fun picture. I am amazed that one of them doesn't have a leash. Maybe he belongs to the dog walker...or maybe he is a very old dog who doesn't like a leash or other dogs.

What did I want to be when I grew up...a fashion designer. You would laugh if you knew me now.

Oh Ming, brilliant photographs and just love the little Yorkie toddling along at the back. I'm just amazed at how good the dogs are. I know if I were to take that number of dogs out at once - on leads - they'd all be pulling in ten different directions and I'd probably get dragged along in the resulting chaos!

I've seen dog walkers in Monte Carlo but never with as many dogs as this.

And how kind of you to mention Pension Milou. I had thirteen en pension this last weekend, plus my own dog. Now it's easing up a bit and there's about 9 - haven't done a headcount yet - I count the dog bowls normally!

Ming, I caught you sneeking into Peter's Parisian sweet shop. Now we discussed your diet only yesterday, didn't we? ;-)

Ming the Merciless said...

olivier - I think it costs about $10/day for two 30-minute walks.

abe lincoln - He has to pick up the dogs doo-doos but you are right, I don't see any plastic bags with him.

chuckeroon - Guilty as charged.

Carol - HAHAHA! My head must have been somewhere else. Thanks for noting the typo.

At first when I saw the title "Dogwater" I thought it was a typo for Dogwaiter and they were going to be fed.

Love the two photos, Ming! This little dog without a leash is safe? I think this job needs to have much responsibility and the dogwalker must to have strong arms too.

I visit constantly Pension Milou, it's a lovely place indeed!

I always wanted to be a writer.

My dream job is to open a doggy day care center for the people who work in offices downtown. I would have it so that they could watch the doggys in webcam from the work place!

The little one behind the group has got quite an escort of body guards in front. Cute shot!

What I wanted to be? Hmm...definitely a race car driver. Didn't happen though. :-)

I wanted to be either an architect or a vetinarian. I saved a dog from choking on a bone, and I became hooked on saving dogs lives after this.

Unbelievable, the liitle cutie without a leash. I would not be brave enough to do that if I would be dogwalker. I mean, what if he/she gets lost?
