Baggy Reflection

I was looking to buy a new bag for work a couple weeks ago so I visited some interesting stores that carry obscure brands with unconventional designs. This was one of the stores I visited -- NYC Velo is a essentially bicycle shop in the East Village that also sells a range of messenger bags including this one in the photo.

Normally, this would be a boring photo but when I downloaded it onto my laptop, I noticed the reflection on the glass window. You can see part of a bicycle wheel on the upper right hand corner. I didn't buy that bag in the window. I bought a Jack Spade messenger bag instead.

Check out this outdoor fashion show of Jack Spade's bags during the recent New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park. It was staged in the middle of the park around regular New Yorkers who were outside enjoying the weather. Everyone there pretty much ignored the commotion -- so typically New York.

So when was the last time you bought a bag?

Hey Ming! It's great to be back and blogging again. This is an interesting pic. How does your Jack Spade messenger bag look like?

Neat photo! Last bag I bought was probably a camera bag.

That is a very interesting photo, oh merciless one.

I most recently gave a bag away.

Great shot! Don't you love it when a potentially boring photo turns out like this!

That is one cool shot! My latest bag was a 'gift' I got when I joined a pocket book club. It's sort of a messenger bag and I 'wear it to work' every day.

I watched the "show", a very different and relaxed type of show! I saw some bags I may have been interested in (but not all of them). Do we see the one you chose?

Nice bag... and referring back to the previous post, the perfect size for a kitty kat!
The last bag I bought was an impulse buy and I know I'll never use it, I don't know what came over me that day.

After my identity was stolen by some jerks who took my wallet in 2001, I splurged and bought myself a Coach handbag with a short strap. I've had it since. It's served me well. Those bags last forever!

OK, so I clicked on the Jack Spade show link and jumped outta my skin when that sound started up--totally unexpected--I'm just now breathing right again! Anyway, the last bag I bought was an on-sale carry-on luggage piece with handles that stay upright. I had to get a new one for the rainy season that will go on my shoulder and tuck into my body to keep the rain out of the zipper, for those times that it rains enough to do such a thing.

As for the Chrome bag, my younger son Leland has left-swing messenger bag--I think that's what you call it for a left-handed person--which he finds just right for him.

The reflection in the bag made for a stupendous serendipitous photo.

I am all for buying a cheap but cute bag or two for the season. You know, that color that pops. I usually have a good eye to pick something a little original that does not cost much but looks nice.
When the season is finished, I give them to the Goodwill store. So I can buy a new one... :)

I don't buy bags, it seems. I keep going to conferences now and then and more often than not a bag is included in the registration fee. Some have been pure junk but others surprisingly good.

Nice shot and great interpretations. The last time I bought a bag was like.. years ago? Most of my bags were given by my friends for my birthday presents. :P

I like this picture. It's very artistic. You have a keen eye for capturing unique shots.
My latest bag is a diaper bag. Bwahahaha! Not bought though. The hospital gave us one.

Well i bought this gigantic tennis racquet bag a couple wks ago. It's supposed to hold 6 racquets. I think i could probably hold 12 in there and go on a 4 day camping trip with this bag.
