Italian Sausages

Here is a photo of a booth selling italian sausages at the San Gennaro Feast in Little Italy last weekend. The hot or spicy sausages are usually served in crusty roll/bread and topped with grilled onions and peppers. You can see the onions and peppers in the two metal containers on the upper left corner. Every time I go to a street fair in NYC, I get one of these delicious italian sausages on a roll. But I didn't this time because I had just eaten lunch before coming to the San Gennaro Feast.

What do you usually get at a street fair?

Once again I would give a very neutral answer to your question: Anything that is offered! Especially I would like to test something I never tried before.

I like the sausages, and also the lemonade, the grilled corn on the cob and the bland Thai food!!

Italian sausage is great as is Polish sausage but the best is that sausage that is home made from your own pig (hog). Most of all, in pork, is the bacon and the sugar cured hams. Wow. That is next to eating in the lord's cafeteria.

I don't usually buy street food, don't know why. I hate walking and eating at the same time.

Beautiful photo--only an Italian could think sausage cooking on a grill is beautiful, lol!

When I was a kid and we went to street fairs, I ate sausage sandwiches, peaches soaked in wine and Torrone-Italian nougat candy. Ah, heaven!

I don't remember eating at a street fair, but I do vividly remember eating Penn's Catfish at the Mississippi State Fair just about every year that I went as an adult. Yummy! As I child, I always got a corn dog. Yep, you guessed it. I do like fried food now and then.

Yummmmmmmmmmy! I can almost smell the BBQ, onions and peppers. I love Italian sausages, and I think I would've had one even if I DID just finish eating lunch! Well done you for resisting!

My appetite seems to expand ten-fold when I visit a street fair - just so many delicious aromas wafting through the air. Thank goodness there aren't too many where I live then....hehehehehe :oP

My husband would love to eat those Italian sausages with grilled onions and peppers! I don't eat read meat, sausages (linguiça in Portuguese). Like Rafe, I don't usually eat street food. But if I go someday to NY, I would love to eat those hot dogs with spicy, that I see on many movies! Looks delicious!

I hate street fair food. It scares me a bit. See, here the sausages seems tempting but the fact that they come in a sandwiche will not sell them to me.
