I was at Union Square/14th Street this afternoon and decided to stop by the green market right outside the subway station. Local farmers from the tri-state regions come here to sell their produce every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
I took this photo of fresh jalapeño peppers at one of the farm stands. I like the autumn/fall colors on them. Plus I like jalapeño peppers because I love spicy foods.
So do you like spicy foods?

Oooh, I love it!! Love the colors. Love the farmers market in Union Square.
I LOVE spicy foods.
I do but not too firy. Gotta be careful with those... can't really rub your eyes with any of that on your hands.
This is so colorful!
These little diablos add so much zip to a dish. Spicy foods are the spice of life! Can't imagine a meal without it!
Great colors and shapes in a great photo. Brings back memories of fried jalapeno slices I used to eat at catfish fries down in Mississippi. In no time my mouth'd be on fire, my nose'd be running, and I'd be getting more jalapenos off the platter! Fine.
yes, the more 'pedas' the better :-p
I reminds me of my friday shot...
No, not hot spicy foods. I like your photo though. Very nice.
so THAT's how jalapeno peppers look like... ah, thanks for the pic. i lovelovelovelovelove spicy food *grin*
Great colour and shape and texture to that pic. And YES I love spicy foods, especially Thai and Indian.... ohhh mouth is watering just thinking about Chicken Madras, or Thai Pad....
Love the photograph. I love spicy food, not sure it always likes me tho.
Great colors, and taken in one of my favorite places. Me, I love the look of peppers, but not the hotness. I enjoy spice without fire.
I'm a big fan of hot & spicy foods, too!
Love the photo!
I adore all these colors
Fantastic colours!
I love (also) spicy food, but somehow depending on where I have my food. It goes with the climate and the surrounding. ...
betcha Mesa Grill bought a bushel of those.
What a wonderful photo - I love your close ups Ming!
I love spicy foods too....give me an authentic Curry Laksa or Tom Yum soup and I'm a happy girl :oP
I certainly love spicy foods, though I can't eat too-hot foods. One of my pet peeves is that people seem to equate the chili (pepper) with the idea of spicy, discounting things like cumin, coriander, cardamom, cloves, allspice, turmeric, and a gazillion other spices. I can cook something extremely spicy as in having a lot of spices and flavor, but little heat. Makes for a challenge when I'm at a restaurant and I'm asked whether I want something hot or mild. If I say I don't want something hot, then I sometimes run the risk of getting something just boiled and served up!
I like spicy food and always lean towards the SE Asian spice -Thai, Malaysian etc.
yep!
