Midmonth Theme: Subway Day

Today is September 15, which means it's mid-month subway theme day again. This photo was taken last week from the elevated subway train station (#7 train) on a surprising clear day. You can see the skyline of Manhattan quite clearly.

Three other cities are participating in the mid-month subway theme:

Cool lamps! The tracks seem to go far away into a heavenly city (Oz?).

Happy subway day!

Sorry, but I did not make it this month! But I wrote a small word of excuse and made a reference to you, Stockholm and Budapest in my today's post. Hope to do better next month!

What a pretty shot with those big puffy clouds. The tracks seem to go on forever. I always like waiting on the elevated platforms (except of course in the wintertime!) A lot of them have great views.

Big clouds and a very nice perspective! Those lamps are very pretty too. They should paint them a fun color to make them shine a bit more.

That's a great shot, I had no idea you had elevated platforms with such a great view of Manhattan!

Hi Ming, nice picture of the skyline and the elevated subway.

(Note:Did you hear we had a terrible train wreck a few miles from my home on Friday with Metrolink and a freight train. They're still clearing the tracks.)

It's so empty. Whenever I am in London, it's always packed out. Nice lead out to the skyline backdrop.
