The most fashionable event in New York City is here again. The Spring 2008 New York Fashion Week began last Wednesday at Bryant Park and will last through next Thursday. During this time, over 75 international fashion designers will be showing their latest collections under the tents or at other venues across the city. This twice-a-year event generates a huge amount of revenue for the city.
Can you guess who is this tall gentleman? Answer: Nigel Barker from America's Next Top Model.

i went to the richard chai show today and saw han! she was beautiful.
i was sitting in the front row and was in awe as she walked the runway. i went backstage afterwards in hopes of seeing her again but she had disappeared.

Haven't a clue; am not even interested 'cuz the fashions hold a greater fascination for me.

I fail to see where Mercedes-Benz comes into the picture but if this brings money to the city it surely does a lot of good.
per stromsjo - Mercedes Benz is the main sponsor. A couple years ago, it was called the Olympus Fashion Week. :-) Which ever company pays the most money get the name attached to it.

I've never been to any of the events and, like • Eliane •, whenever I pass Bryant Park durng Fashion Week all I see is the white tents. Nothing interesting, no celebs and even the models I see are looking decidely un-glamorous. Ming, you must have taken this INSIDE one of those mysterious tents. By the way, no idea who the guy is.
Elaine & Annulla - I wasn't inside the tent to take the photos. I was outside but waited until the shows were over when everyone exited through the front stairs.
