Earl Grey MarTEAni at Pegu Club

Here is a photo of the bartender making an Earl Grey MarTEAni at Pegu Club, where I met with Eliane, Lori, Olivier and Amedée.

Since the light was kind of low at the bar, I balanced my camera on top of my glass and shot this image on a slow exposure setting. It gave the bartender's hand a blurry image while everything else remained clear.

So what are your favorite drinks?

That's a hard question, Ming. . .I recently discovered Aspen Coffee. . .Good coffee, Amaretto, Frangelico, and Bailey's. Pretty wimpy, no? HA! Don't drink too many!

Also, given a choice, I'll take a glass of good wine. . .Just discovered Cava while in Barcelona. . .LOVE IT.

Great shot. That's awesome you've met with fellow city daily bloggers. We've recently done the same here in Minnesota over the summer. Nice to see others doing the same. Plus the photo is outstanding.

i usually go for anything unusual ie not the "traditional" cocktails like mojito, spore sling, cosmopolitan etc unless the cocktail list is crappy. but my choices are limited by my allergy to vodka :(

The photo captured the moment, the one we all "feel" as we wait for a drink to be made by the bartender. Such a ritual!

Once upon a time I enjoyed an occasional vodka martini or bourbon and water. Now I enjoy red wine, occasionally white in the summertime.

That little stuffed dog in my photo today was mostly head! What kids love is sometimes strange indeed.

Oh yeah, dirty feet can live in shoes too, you know, Ming.

You captured the action move very well!! I also looove to see how they prepare drinks. It's fascinating. Ok, I looove to watch people chopping vegetables too. I guess anything that happens in the kitchen or behind the bar gets my attention.

My favorite drink right now would be a Earl Grey MarTEAni. ;) I don't drink much but once in a while I like to try something that seems to have interesting flavors.

Ho, ho, Ming...you're becomimg civilised!

Vegemite from Oz, drinks with the Frogs, filou from the ME.....there's hope for you yet.

BUT....I cannot endorse the Earl Grey Martini!!!! Unless of course you can tell me, with your New York certainty, that it's "OK".

I hope you watched the Rosbifs bashing the Froggies a week ago...sadly the Sth Africans beat us last night and held unto the Rugby World cup....even if we did deserve to win it!!!!!

Very clever method of taking that terrific photo, Ming.
Favourite drink? Well... I love most red wine, but sometimes it gives me a headache. I don't go for spirits much, such as whisky, gin, brandy etc. But if you are talking non-alcoholic, I love mocha coffee... with a hint of chocolate in it, YUM!

I agree with everyone, very good shot. What did you use, a couple of seconds?

My favourite drink is the ginger cocktail at Pegu Club actually. Can't remember it's name, something Jamaican.
Pegu club is probably one of my favourite places in New York. I discovered it on a date. Love the place (and the boy !).
I got totally emotionnal when I saw the picture today !

Love that photo....great capture of motion!

I'm just a pino grigio gal, but the best non-alcoholic drink I had was pure Blue Mountain coffee at RockHouse Hotel in Negril.

hmmm. well, I love sparkling water, but if you're talking about alcoholic drink, my favorite cocktail is probably a lemon martini.
