Mid-Month Theme: Subway Day

It is mid-month subway theme day again and this month, we have a new guest -- Peter from Paris who is joining us for the first time. We all decided to post similar photos of people entering the subway station at night in our cities.

The mid-month subway theme day is shared by the following blogs:

From the portal, it looks a bit like a flying saucer. And yes, I am drinking water.

I like that entrance. Looks like a good place to contemplate and feel a bit of the city pulse.

Happy subway day!

NY subway, different from our Paris metro, but both with a specific atmosphere. (Today the Paris metro atmosphere is even a bit more specific: strike!)
Nice to be part of the team!

I really like this photo for the few blurred images in it, Ming, very interesting.

Am repetitive of the previous post, but I thought it before I read it! Like the motion in this photograph of people walking to and from the subway in comparison to those standing still.

j'aime bien cette station de métro, on dirait un OVNI ;o)

I like this subway station, it looks like a UFO ;o)

I wrote this in Fenix's Boston blog, but I *SO* wish Nashville had good mass transit (read: trains). One of the things I loved about living in Atlanta was the train system. Whenever we're in NYC, Boston, Chicago, ATL, etc. we never rent a car. Good mass transit could help alleviate the stranglehold the oil companies have on this country. Oops. . .I better be PC.

I came from Peter's blog! It is interesting to study the subways by contrast and comparison!

"The flying saucer of Union Square". It could be the title of a science fiction novel. Good shot, Ming!

Happy subway day!

Ooh! I love this shot. The motion of the people is really cool. It almost looks like ghosts in the background.

I recognized this location from the thumbnail - such memories. This structure in Union Square may be the most beautiful subway entrance in NYC (not that there's much competition in that category). Don't think there is anything else like it.

Lovely idea. Unfortunately no subways in Menton or Monte Carlo!

Flying saucer? No, it looks like a Chinese warrior's headpiece.

Ming, this is sooo close to the Stockholm one. The language differs a bit, otherwise you could hardly tell the difference. OK, the roof is different too....Good one !
