Even Cowgirls Have the Blues

This is the front window of a restaurant in the Village called, Cowgirl that is located on the corner West 10th Street and Hudson Street. I have walked by it many times and heard the recordings of Patsy Cline blaring through the doors. So I thought it was a lesbian bar. Then last weekend, I noticed the beautiful decorations on the window and decided to take a peek inside. The place turns out to be a family-oriented restaurant that serves southern food. How wrong was I?

So have you misjudged the character of someone or something recently?

c'est vrai que la décoration de la vitrine est très belle. le Village doit être très beau à cette époque
It is true that the decoration of the window is very beautiful. The Village must be very beautiful at this time

Well, lesbians can go to family restaurants too ya know!
Nice window, and a nice photo. You're getting pretty good at taking those night shots.

What a mistake to make! Ha Ha! Very funny! The window is really festive. Good photo. I judge people and situations wrongly all the time, tho its nice to be wrong!

Cowgirl looks like fun! Their windows are really pretty. I also loved your Rockefeller xmas tree shot from yesterday. I never would have thought to take a photo at that angle. That's a great shot!

Judging by the name, I wouldn't have thought Cowgirl was a family restaurant. And the xmas decorations don't match either - not rough enough!

Misjudging? I suppose I do it all the time, and I don't even know it LOL

Thanks for your visit in Avignon, much appreciated. You got more snow than we did!

So tell me about this mid-month subway theme. Is it only for the cities where there's a subway? And is it ALWAYS about subways?

So did you try their food? I like family-oriented rest. Somehow, it's goot more personality and character in its food.

I've been to Cowgirl, with my (grown up) kids, who live 2 blocks from the place. It's lively, upbeat and good, cheap eats.

AND, yes, I have misjudged many things....read my posting "fishy story" on the gramercycafe blog.

The full name of the place is "Cowgirl Hall of Fame" and it has really good chicken-fried steak and biscuits-n-gravy...
