Traffic on Queens Boulevard

This photo was taken from the elevated train station on Queens Boulevard near my apartment. This is the view of the north side of the street and we have a small movie theater, a couple of sushi restaurants, a number of 24-hour Korean grocery stores and a huge $1 store.

What is your favorite store in your neighborhood?

I live near the Fairway on the Upper West Side. I love that place. I could live there.

Well I live near a small family owned supermarket called "Collier", where I can find the same stuffs as in any other supermarkets, but they also have nice products from small farmer producers...So it's a nice little store...I guess it's like a mini Zabars...

Hi Ming! Thanks for your visiting on my blog. But Toucans is not a Hornbill. Hornbill's Order is Coraciiformes and his Family is Bucerotidae. The Order of Toucans is Piciformes and his Family is Ramphastidae.

I love this pic, the color of the sky is amazing and the traffic and street lights are really beaut!
I love small movie theatres, sushi restaurants, Korean grocery stores and a $1 store!??! Now you've gotten me started! There's a fantastic $2 megastore called DAISO in Singapore that I LOVE and I always visit when I'm on the island - they have the cutest stationary ( eg. Hello Kitty) , kitchenware and everything else that you can think of. I always load my basket to the brim and then later, put some stuff back when I put my head back on my shoulders and realise I've been overly compulsive. What to do? everything is so cheap but do I NEED all that stuff? - I mean REALLY?? ;o)
I don't have any of these cool spots that's walking distance to my place but i walk out to a Marina and a Wildlife Sanctuary at my place and that's really cool too in it's own way, isn't it? ;o)

Oooh, la FNAC is such a good store. I could get lost in it. The equivalent is a few block away from here: Barnes&Nobles. But I also have some good food stores: Zabar's, Citarella, Fairway, Balducci's and Whole Foods. I love them all but my favorite must be Citarella, for the size and the quality of products.

Great photo, Ming! I adore evening street shots.

Favorite store. . .Used to be Paper Moon. . .Of course, the fact that I owned it had something to do with it! ;-) Now I like Books-A-Million, a bookstore that finally opened on our side of town! World Market is coming soon, too! YAY!
