This magnificent looking building, on the corner of Centre and Grand Street, used to be the city's police headquarters. Now it is a luxury co-op building with a 24-hour doorman service.

Have a good weekend.

That building is awesome and the apartments are a tad on the expensive side, take a look (some neat roof detail on that page).
A good weekend to you too.
Pretty snazzy, Ming. I'd like to visit but I doubt I could afford to live there.
i remember years ago, a friend said leonardo dicaprio lived here. i thought she was full of shit, but who knows.
Love that you framed that with the street signage....
That building could surely tell some fascinating cops and robbers stories....
What a great picture....the detail of the building, bricks, windows etc., that you have captured in the photo is awesome.
Very nice building. Interesting that they've turned it into an apartment building. I understand that somewhere downtown, there's a church that has been converted into an apartment building, too.

That looks a great place to live, I like the street signs too.
police station to luxury co-op, pretty neat.
Interesting. . .. WHen I first saw it, I thought it looked very European.
Wow, I wonder how it looks on the inside? More and more structures here in Australia are being turned into apartments, either that or new ones are popping up everywhere. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend ;o)
How does that happen? A police headquarters turned into apartment flats... But the building is gorgeous. I wonder if we went past that...

Great link, Fénix! The Tom Fletcher's New York Architecture Images site is amazing!
Glad you posted this. I walked by it last week and wondered what it was. It still says police station on the façade.
