These Little Piggies Went Wee Wee Wee...

I saw this delivery truck parked on the curb in Chinatown where dozens of restaurants line the street. Kitchen staff from different restaurants as well as a few of the delivery truck guys began to unload the merchandises and if you look closely enough, you will notice that the little suckling pigs were hung in the back of the truck.

So what is your your type of meat and how do you like it cooked?

Err - ewwww!
(I took a very similar photo today of a skinned fox a farmer had hung on his fence near his sheep as a deterrent to other foxes - I didn't know foxes were that smart! It was all dried up in the sun - very gross.)

All kinds of meat, cooked to different temps, depending on the dish.

Looking at all that meat, I thought you were going to show us a scene from The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover.

To answer your question, Ming, I don't eat meat.

I don't like pork that much. And pig hung like this always gives me the creeps. maybe tat's why i'm not a huge fan of piggy meat.

They hang cows the same way and eventaully cut them in half. But all meat is hung up.

Nice shot of a subject many people don't like to deal with.

Some time back I watched a program and it was about slaughter houses and nearly 100% of those employed there were from other countries. Americans couldn't or wouldn't do the work. It might have been a pay issue but when I was growing up the slaughter houses were all white American workers.

Times change in all kinds of ways.

YIKES.....Ming, how could you??? Those poor piggies. I used to love bacon but after reading about the suffering and cruelty inflicted on our four-legged friends, I vowed NEVER to eat meat again.

Though, I do frequent restaurants that serve meat...read my post today, I will always order fish or pasta.

Meat? I'm not a big meat eater, and as a child I refused to eat any of it! Now I'm not really a vegetarian, but give me melted cheese on toast... or a nice salad... or a mushroom omelette....

Although its a bit of an unpleasant fact that our meat starts out like this, its a great photo.

I like any kind of meat, my favourite is lamb with mint sauce. Mmmmm!

egad!
I'm a guilt-ridden meat eater. I think eating less or no meat is the healthy way to go.

EW! That photo was hard to "digest". Sad but true that is how we eat in our country. Like my husband always says "never go to a packing plant if you are a meat eater".
I'm a chicken gal. That is our choice of "dish" at our house.
I agree with marley & oldmanlincoln.... interesting photo of a subject not many like to do.

Great shot! I can't say that it is enough to turn me into a vegetarian, but it might persuade me to eat kosher for a while.
