East Side Vista

Here is another 'stitched photo' from my visit to Long Island City. This photo shows the east side of Manhattan (left) and Long Island City (right). The bridge in the middle is the 59th Street Queensborough Bridge. There are two levels of automobile traffic, a subway line and a foot path on that bridge.

Click here to see the full size photo.

So what are you plans for the weekend?

Looks like you're having fun with needle and thread -:) Skylines do lend themselves to that treatment ... especially Manhattan!

Hi Ming, did you read my question? Eliane (NYC) has been missing for quite some time. Do you know what's happened to her?

I've asked Eric (Paris) to put up an open plea on his blog to see if anyone's got information on her.

More wedding planning crap!!

I sometimes play tennis on some courts that are right under the Queensborough Bridge.

Gorgeous!! You could make postcards of these! I love how the light reflects on the water. That's so beautiful. I've never tried to do a panoramic like this. I have to try it some day. I think it's too technical for me though! Have a good weekend!

As Chuck says, skylines are perfect for the long photo. Yet another great shot. Might check out the East End. There's a festival on over there this week. How about you?

Photolicious, I haven't heard from Eliane either. I think she went on an extended vacation but might be back now.

I also wanted to say I saw your comment about your friends going to the acquarium in Staten Island. That is cool! I hope they liked it.

I'd like to think that I could make a panoramo look so seamless. You did a wonderful job here, Ming.

This weekend in Arkansas is clear and open. I was planning on having houseguests but snow has stopped them from traveling and so now, anything is possible for me.

Oh beautiful, Ming. Well done.

As for your question - This weekend I'm voting in the French municipal elections. Don't have the right in the National ones. Just local (our mayor) and for the European parliament. And watching Crufts dog show on television as I didn't get there this year.
