Chalkboard Menu

When I lived in Astoria (in northwest Queens) three years ago, I used to get dinner from a lunch cart like this that sells really delicious Middle Eastern food. The cart was parked right outside the subway station and the food was made fresh to order. It was really convenient and as you can see on the chalkboard, it was also really inexpensive. Before that, I had never had Middle Eastern food before. Now I'm a huge fan of falafel sandwich.

So what would you like for dinner?

I like cart food, though many people don't dare eat it. It can be pretty cheap and delicious, if you know where to go.

I'm always trying new food. I eat from the carts in New York often. I'll try your sandwich next time I'm there. Thanks again for your posts.

I like the idea of "Rolling Cuisine". I presume that is a magazine cover that's being used as advertising on the cart?

I believe the vendor was reviewed (favorably) by the magazine and newspaper posted on the side. I didn't get close enough to read them.

Give me a chalkboard menu like that and I can't decide what I would like for dinner :O What is good?

Especially with the present $ rates these prices look very attractive to me! Welcome to Europe!

I'm just cooking a curry chicken, Ming. Do you come?

I just saw on the news last night that rice has really gone way up in price and it is causing widespread panic. I suspect the prices on the chalkboard for the rice dishes will soon reflect the new higher prices of rice.
