Mellow Yellow

This photo was taken in front of Cipriani Downtown, an Italian restaurant on West Broadway and Bloom Street in SoHo. Exactly a year ago, I featured a photo of the same restaurant and here it is again. It was purely coincidental because I chose to post this photo before I realized the date of photo posted last year. It was a total surprise.

So when was the last time you had a coincidental moment?

That is always fun. I do like the yellow cab here. I think it is a must to echo the façade of the restaurant.

Does the other contributor (Two&2 LA) ever actually contribute? You seem to the photo guru, Ming, not that person!

Last coincidence - hmm, my brother was thinking of a movie, and I sent him a sound clip from it (which I created - and it's a TOTALLY random movie) that same day!

Curious timing for sure, but totally different content. I think it's not so much a coincidence as being attracted to different elements of the same location. Last years photo actually fleshes out the experience of this year's image. The story is that they are time travelers delivered to Cipriani by yellow cab and when stepping beneath the yellow canopy are transported back in time to enjoy pasta and the company of old friends. Makes a fun story anyway -:)

Wow. Yellow is a color that I am learning to like more and more. The awning is marvelous in yellow.

Nice photography too, as usual.

Thanks, Ming, for your visits.

Hahahaha...I remember that photo - it made my mouth water! Now looking at it again, it's done the same thing! :o)

I can't actually remember the last coincidental moment I had. I know I've had them, but for now, I'm stumped to think of any. Sorry!

Oh, and I've finally added a new post to my blog, including a little wedding pic - can't believe it took me soooo long. Hope you visit :o)

Great to see this place. My buddies and I had drinks here two years ago when we stayed in TriBeCa. It was buzzing - seemed very trendy.

That is a coincidental moment, Ming and a nice one!

That's definitely Mellow Yellow and a Yellow Taxi serendipitiosly passing by too! (Is that a real word or did I just make it up?)
BTW it's our annual Variety Show time. I sing in the chorus and I'm in one dance number, pics are posted on my blog. Shall I save you a couple of seats?

My mother was big on family gatherings, but since her death, 4 years ago, my brother and I lost touch with our aunts and uncles.

A few weeks ago my brother and I were talking about our relatives, (who we haven't seen or heard from in years), wondering if they were still alive.

The following day we got a phone call from our cousin, letting us know that our aunt (who we hadn't seen or heard from in years) died.
