Last year, I posted a photo of the Virgin Mother by Damien Hirst that was located outside the Lever House on Park Avenue and 50th Street. Earlier this week, I saw the statue again but it was wrapped in plastic and tape, looking very much like a mummy. I assume it was being prepped to be moved to a new location. So when did you move to your current home?

Probably a good assumption. Although, our Hammering Man sculpture at the Seattle Art Museum several years ago had a guerrilla protest group attach a ball and chain around his ankle. So, who knows? Mommy the Mummy ..... nice catch!

Your first photo of her was just extraordinary. It's really worth clicking on the link. I agree with Jilly, it could well be a new take on the statue with a temporary installation on the theme 'mother to be, take care' or something. Will you let us know if you learn more?

I moved a year ago. A small statue got damaged. I should have wrapped it better!
No way!!! Very cool pic! You'll have to go back and report where it is going. I looked at your original post, you showed her "nice" profile. I was a bit braver or maybe just took this on an empty stomach: motherlt armor. ;)
