This photo showing the west side of midtown Manhattan was taken from the waterfront of Weehawken in New Jersey. The river in the middle is the Hudson River that separates New York State from New Jersey. You can also see the ferry that runs from Weehawken, NJ to Pier 39 in Manhattan.So when was the last time you were on a ferry?

This is the downside of some cities - too many skyscrapers! I prefer a quiet little city with buildings no taller than 10 storeys. But full of human activity of course, :)

The last time I was on a ferry was the Staten Island ferry in March 2006! I know that sounds a bit corny on a NYC blog but it true!

Classic shot! Sunrise? I've been on the Seattle ferries, but more recently on the Staten Island Ferry - seeing Manhattan at night from the ferry was on my "bucket list". It was worth the trip!

Well, that's what I learned in grade school - the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Last time on a ferry.... hmmm... I think it was the ferry from downtown Toronto across Toronto harbour to the Toronto Islands.

Last time I was on a ferry was two weeks ago, when I took the Staten Island Ferry for a view of the Statue of Liberty.

the ferry from 39th street that goes over to NJ. I remember a few years ago, they raised the price from $3 to like $7.50. It was probably to pay for that damn new building.
