The Art of Elysium Benefit

A friend of mine invited me to a party to benefit The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization that provides workshops in arts, music and design for children who are battling serious illnesses. The party, hosted at Milk Studio in the Meatpacking District, a trendy neighborhood north of Greenwich Village, was fun and exciting. I saw some beautiful art, like the silk screen of David Bowie in the photo above, ate some good food and met some new friends.

So when was the last time you went to a nice party?

superbe cette série sur le grand Bowie (même si cela fait très wahrol). Je suis invité a des inaugurations à Évry, mais dans une petite ville il n'y en a pas beaucoup. Mais j'aime bien, car on peut rencontrer et discuter avec les artistes.

this superb series on the great Bowie (even if it is very wahrol). I am invited to inaugurations in Evry, but in a small town there is not much. But I like because we can meet and talk with the artists.

How fabulous! Would love to have experienced this. Super shot. Love the art.

Did Andy Warhol do this with Campbell soup cans? It was him I think.

I like the glare on the photo as that adds an out of this world quality to the whole series.

Looks like a blast... was David Bowie invited to share the fun?
The last party I went to... 16 people round the dinner table while I was in England a couple of weeks ago... that was a PARTY!!

Sounds like my kind of party—people, art, drinks! Going to an exhibit opening tomorrow. ;) Glad you had a great time.

The painting looks so Andy Warhol. And Bowie wrote a song titled "Andy Warhol." The artist must really be a Bowie fan.

I'm going to a party in the beginning of July and we must be dressed up with an idea around the letter "C". I'm looking forward to!

Your photo reminded me that I haven't been to an interesting party like this for ages! I went to a wedding party the other weekend and it was good fun but it wasn't on a parr with this. I like the art.

I don't think I have been to such a party as this. But last night, I did attend a party for the launch of a new e-zine that will focus on life in our small town every month.

What has happened to David Bowie anyway?

Looks like a cool party. . . .

Last great party we went to was yesterday at my husband's office in anticipation of his retirement Monday. I'll probably post photos of it and Monday's big party next wek.
