Union Square Towers

These luxury apartment buildings, east of Union Square, are some of the most beautiful and expensive real estate properties in the city. The dark red color of the facade looks especially breathtaking when the sun sets and everything is aglow in crimson.

I know Citygirl15 of Gramercy Cafe lives in the vicinity, maybe in a penthouse suite in one of those towers. I won't know since she hasn't invited me over for tea and sandwiches yet. :-)

So have you been invited to tea or coffee by a fellow blogger in your city?

Never been invited to tea or coffee by a fellow blogger!

Really great shot, Ming.
Are the buildings really that red? Wow. I'll have to put them on my must see for the next trip to NYC.

Maybe you will get to have tea in one of those great luxury buildings - or at least a nearby coffee or tea spot?

Now that's an advantage of being a team, we have coffee and cake all the time. Possibly even too often... ;)

What a fabulous shot, Ming. Imposing towers, imposing sky.

To answer yuor question, there is no fellow blogger that I know of in Menton or Monte Carlo, but readers of the blogs, who come here in holiday, often get in touch and then we meet up for coffee - which is really nice.

You were in the right place at the right time for this super photo, Ming!
I've never been invited anywhere by a fellow blogger, in fact there are a couple of bloggers sort of near me, but I've never met them. Maybe one day!
PS my OlderSon and his buddy were in NY for the All Star Game this week.... I told them to look out for you but they didn't see you!

Great shot showing what interesting things the setting sun can do to a landscape. Why do I keep hearing the theme song "Movin' on Up" from the TV show The Jeffersons in my head???

That really is a stunning photo. You took this just at the right time of day to get depth of colour.
As for coffee with bloggers. I'd have a job living on a island in the "middlleoff***ingnowhere" as the professor would say. I know a few who have though.

The coloring is fantastic! Love the red-orange look. And no, never met a fellow Twin-Cities blogger yet.

Oh Ming...Great Shot!! Perfect time of day...

Check out my blog today...you will be pleased....:)

ok Ming.... I will invite you over for tea or coffee.

I don't live in one of those towers, you were close.... I'm just down the block.

Several years ago I looked at an apartment in Zeckendorf and it was very small (and the price was VERY high)... though the building has a FABULOUS health club and pool which opens up onto a gorgeous sundeck, which I guess justifies the high asking price of those condos.

Beautiful buildings and great shot!

I've become good friends with fellow DC blogger, Church of the Big Sky. Love her writing!

I never found that building interesting but you made it look beautiful. With a little help from Mother Nature. What a great sky and a wonderful light!

Love the colours in this photo. Gorgeous tones. I have been invited to a quiz night at a pub by Lynn, who also does Cheltenham!

I'm waiting for you to invite me, didn't you know?
And Bibi, from A Yankee-in-Belgrade, will be here in August and we have made tentative plans to get together. And maybe one of these years I'll make it to the annual Paris Daily Photo picnic to meet my hero, Eric (his "regulars" are getting together all the time).
Super photo, btw -- thanks.

No coffee / tea yet, but I think something is loosely scheduled for sometime in September here in Seattle with Bibi and Kim and maybe Petrea. I am also waiting for coffee / tea with Ming the Merciless sometime the week of the 15th September when I'm in NY :)

No one here yet, but I've met up with Chris from Nashville Daily Photo twice. I feel like I've know her forever, we had a great time.

Stunning photo, Ming!

TCho said...

yep. and we still have to meet sometime!

as an aside, I've heard the one bad thing about that building is that you have to wait FOREVER for an elevator because there are so many residents and too few elevators!

Todd HellsKitchen said...

Those are the Zeckendorf Towers... I once dated someone who lived in there...

NormanTheDoxie said...

Yes, Tcho and Todd are correct.

The first few floors are part of Beth Israel's Hospital medical center.... and then you need to exit on their top floor and walk around the hallway to another bank of elevators in order to get to the apartments.
