Urban Valley

This urban valley was actually 7th Street between Broadway and Lafayette Avenue in the East Village. The sun was setting and it created a beautiful silhouette of buildings against the golden sky.

So where and what were you doing at 6 PM yesterday evening?

Walking home from the station in the cold. When I saw the thumbnail it looked like the shot I used for Skywatch last week (except that mine was sunrise).

I was eating ripe blackberries off the vines growing over the sidewalk across the street. There's nothing better than free food.

This is so dramatic and it looks almost like a vintage photo with those colors. I like it.

Er, I was at work working, inspector Ming. I didn't see or hear a thing. I swear.

6pm yesterday? Talking with my neighbour in the driveway. And wondering when the promised thunderstorm would come... it did, an hour later, it was like being in the middle of Niagara Falls with a terrifying sound and light show going on!

Yesterday at 6 p.m. I was cleaning out my closet with the Husband, to make way for his things at last. What a fun-filled week of doing errands after returning from Europe!

Great photo!
I was on the subway, headed downtown, along with what seemed like several million other people.

Grill meat for dinner in the back yard.

Great shot with the sun setting between the buildings. Guess I have to be out with a camera....

I was eating dinner and watching Battlestar Galactica season 3 on my Mac. I lead a glamorous life, as you can see.

This is a gorgeous photo. It all came together beautifully. At 6pm yesterday I was just back from work, and sat down watching the news headlines on the TV. Not as good as this shot.

It appears that I am the only wino in this bunch. Where is Strangetastes when I need him? Just got another look at your photo. It's just great!

At 6 PM? That's when I knock off work.

But if you are talking about 6 PM New York time, that will be 6 AM Singapore time, I am still in bed! :-)

Wow, what a photo! I love this because it shows an angle and creates a mood I never expected from NYC.

6pm yesterday? Yesterday from today (talking about the 31st here) I can tell you exactly where I was- at a small corner shop waiting for my Maxi Burger (these ones at this shop are FAMOUS with truckies, they even have their own UHF channel to tune in and place an order before hand!) to be cooked, whilst on my way home from a bull sale. This was my first, and I wasn't really hungry but once I took one bite I couldn't stop myself. But at 6pm on the dot I was texting a friend who was about 2 1/2 hours away, at TAFE whinging because she was there and I didn't go this time.
