For those of you living in the US, whether you are staying home or visiting friends and/or families this Thanksgiving weekend, I wish you all a wonderful holiday. I will be joining my friends for lunch and then a movie.So what is your favorite winter/autumn dish?

Summer's almost here, so I can't think winter! Perhaps if "next door" had a menu I would be less challenged!

I love New York City. When my younger son was at Hofstra, we spent Thanksgiving watching the Macy parade and a grand dinner at the Hilton and going to a Broadway show, saw FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE

in Hungary, I like a dish called "Le'cso", it is made using paprika (the thin skin sweet type) and tomatoes:)
Happy Thanksgiving to you! May your day be both joyous and fulfilling! I got up early to make cornbread and now we're off to a local school to help deliver dinners to families who might otherwise go without. This tradition has been in effect for decades with a legion of volunteers who purchase and cook the food, fill the boxes, coordinate the addresses, and deliver the meals. When we return to our own home to have our Thanksgiving meal it will truly be a day of blessings!We give thanks for our priviliged lives.

I like this eatery a lot, though it can be very noisy and a little slow. But the roasted corn on the cob and cuban sandwiches make up for it all.

My favorites are the stuffing and a cranberry and orange salad from mother's recipe. Just enough tang to off set all that turkey.
We just saw Slumlord Millionaire and it's even more provocative in light of the recent attacks.
