Italian Sausages, Peppers & Onions

Italian sausage with peppers and onions on a roll is one of New York's best street cuisines. Everytime I go to a street fair, this is what I order. It may not be the healthiest choice but it's oh, so delicious.

So what is bad for you but tastes so good?

with the exception of dark chocolate, I would guess candy is by far the worst food anyone can eat. I love the new triple chocolate kit kat bars & reeses peanut butter cups but on the rare occasion I do imbibe, it just makes me want more. they are loaded with virtually empty calories and no redeeming qualities-other than tasting good.

I'm a cultured sour cream addict. People may not realize it's only 20% fat, but I use it way too much. I put it on vegetables, meat, pasta, you name it. Some sour cream would be really good on those sausages with onions and peppers...

There's nothing wrong with onions and peppers, by the way. Or the protein of the sausage. 8^)

Oh my, I have always thought that eating in New York is expensive. I wonder how much are the street food there?

Anyway, right here in Singapore Roti Prata is the ultimate sinful food. It is an Indian pancake. Can be rather oily but its taste is divine! I love to have it with curry :P

This makes me both hungry and homesick. By the way, I'll be back in the area during the weekend after Christmas.

Bad for me but tastes good? All those delicious things with too much fat and calories: fettuccine Alfredo, the New York style pizza of my youth with mozzarella cheese dripping off the crust with every bite, Philly cheese steaks. White Castle hamburgers. You get the idea.

Oh yummy! I love sausages!

Anything with cream and cheese. Lactose and fat, sigh.

I'm partial to sweets...M&M's have been my drug of choice lately.

Sorry to be the one to mention this, but those sausages look like twisted colons to me. Of course, I never liked sausage. I'm more of a bacon girl :)
But I can almost smell the aroma of sizzling sausage, and that part I do like!

Bacon will always be my weakness.

I even blog about it.

I can't imagine myself ever eating those sausages... but I have to admit that they do smell good.
