Union Square Artist

Last weekend, I saw this artist at Union Square painting a street scene involving the famous street seller/demonstrator of the Swiss vegetable peeler. Check out the websites of Kitty of New York Portraits and Strangetastes of St. Louis Daily Photo for actual photos of the same scene.

So do you have a veggie peeler? I don't!!

fabulous shot Ming.
Yes I have a peeler... for my cucumbers & beloved potatoes, & sometimes carrots.
I hope you are eating your veggies Ming!

The artist is phenomenal! Did you see him sell his sketches there too?
Peeler - I got one & can never bother to look for it when I need it.

If you don't eat veggies you have no need for the associated peeling implement :)

Of course! But I rarely make use of my veggie peeler. I'm a huge apple eater, if I don't have French Goldens in my fridge I go nuts, but always with the skin.

In France, the veggie peeler is called an "économe". Do you understand that its means? No??

You left a comment on Denver Daily Photo about people wearing shorts and sandals in Nov. I just wanted to let you know that photo was taken in July. We have 5 inches of snow on the ground right now so now summer clothing for us. I haven't worn shorts in months. lol. =D

Really lovely photo Ming.
Of course I have a peeler for the veggies, potatoes, etc. And I just used it for Thanksgiving. Doesn't get as much use as it should though.
How was your Thanksgiving with friends?

Yes I do have a veggie peeler - he is called Gary1 When he is not doing exactly what's in this image- art, then he is chief coffee maker, veg peeler and garbage taker out. He may be the BBC'S famous artsist but not when he's at home.

Of course I have a veggie peeler. Although, I would be much happier if I've had the talents this gent does. :)

I love the fact that you're documenting this kind of timeless activity, something that'll be recognized a hundred years from now.
