Chrysler Building

Here is one of the grand dames of New York City -- the Chrysler Building. The photo was taken while I was standing in front of Macy's Departmental Store on 34th Street and 7th Avenue. I have just bought two pairs of wrinkle-resistant Docker's pants that were on sale.

So what have you bought on sale recently?

I don't think I have ever noticed the Chrysler building while standing in front of Macys before. I'll have to go check it out now.
Wise of you to get the wrinkle resistant Ming. It is so very convenient.

Ming, Did Olivier just call you the Prince of NYC?? Why I think you might just be!!!! You will look real spiffy in your new Docker's I'm sure.

I bought a fabulous hot pink bag to take with me to Paris in June! Yes, you heard me correctly. This time for a month. Woooeeeee. It wasn't on sale but was at TJ MAxx and it was discounted big time.

Hi Ming! With a 48h day I would have time to enjoy your blog more often; shame on the time controller… ;))

The Most beautiful NYC building; great shot!! How many 450,000 antiques did you buy? ;))
Fabulous picture of the Promenade!
And the chilies are superb...

Meanwhile Blogtrotter will be departing Tunisia 2007 soon, but managed to keep the delay in posting on twelve (12) months only. Great achievement… ;)) Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Oh Ming,my favourite building in NYC. I suppose many people's favourite. Great shot. What a stunning building this is. I tried to photograph the beautiful elevator doors when I was last in Manhattan and now you can't - it's all private. Grrrrrr

I think the Chrysler Building is my favorite New York building too. My first visit to NYC, I was sitting in a little cafe in Murray Hill, having a glass of wine and writing post cards. I happened to look up and caught my first glimpse of this magnificent building.

Now, on to your question. I recently bought a 5-quart Calphalon One sauté pan for $40 at an outlet store. It was an "if perfect" deal, because it had a minor cosmetic scratch on the outside. But to me, it was perfect in every regard--non-stick, but durable enough for metal utensils and even using under the broiler. And when I looked it up online for care instructions, I saw that it retails for $250! Now I really love this pan!

Wow, you could get this shot from as far away as Macy's?

This is my all time favourite building in New York. It has so much more character than the Empire State Building in my opinion.

I just received a dress I bought off ebay in today's mail. Cost me a whole $7.....postage was $10.50 though!! :o(

Hi Ming,

I haven't bought anything for the holidays. We're headed to California (from Oregon) for the next couple of weeks.

Beautiful picture of the Chrysler Building. Who owns it now?

Make it a great day!

I can never get tired of pretty-pretty Chrysler building. Btw, in our previous office in the Metlife building, we used to have that view - closer, higher, just above the gargoles. I kind of miss it.

You can't go wrong with the Chrysler building. Now whenever I see it I think of Jay on Project Runway and the fabulous dress he dsigned based on it's art deco architecture.
