Flight 001

This interesting store, Flight 001 in Greenwich Village, sells some of the most interesting travel items. On Sunday, I went there to buy an adapter plug for Italian wall sockets for my laptop. Yeap, I'm heading to Rome in January for a little vacation. I guess that wish I made when I threw the 100 Lira coin (US$0.07) into the Trevi Fountain in 1980 might come true after all.

So have you ever made a wish and it came true?

Wheehee! Rome!

I don't keep track of wishes, but I am a dreamer. There's always more to imagine.

Sure :)

I bought $100 worth of raffle tickets and "wished" I might win. Low and behold, I did. I won a restored 1964 Vespa GL at the Amerivespa Rally in Seattle last year (2007). And yes, I was absolutely stunned. I never win anything ... but apparently it was my turn :)

It took me almost 40 years... but yeap I got my dream... I went to NYC as my husband's birthday present for my 40 b-day!

Ming, have fun in Italy and take in mind that this is another Italy... not the one that you got to see in '80... it is a whole new and different Italy.

Ahh, your post from today (as I'm posting this comment) makes sense now...you're in Rome! Lucky YOU!

Yep, I've made a wish. When I was 10? Or 9? Or 8 perhaps? Young anyway...I was at my grandparent's place waiting for my dad to come and pick me up. He was supposed to be at say, 4pm. I was sitting on the front lawn waiting for him since 3:30, and it was 6pm and he still hadn't came. My little 10/9/8 year old mind was worried sick, so I saw the first star, "First star, first light..." etc and wished for him to come. I looked back down the street and saw nothing. Looked back at the start and more stars had come out. Sad now, I looked down the street again and I kid-you-not, he was coming. Fluke? Maybe. Am I going to doubt it? No.
