The vendor of this food cart, Calexico Carne Asada was setting up his business on Wooster Street when I took this photo. If the food tastes as good as the design of this cart, I will definitely want to try some of it.
So where do you go for take-out (food)?

c'est tellement NYC, ces marchands ambulants.
No beef, thank you. But I'll have one of their quesadillas! :)
my favorite is a a married couple with a halal cart on 44th and 6th ave, right in front of thomas pink. in midtown, there's like a halal cart on every corner but i started going to my people because they were never busy and i wanted to support it. well it turns out that i enjoy their food the most. i've tried everyone else's as well but none are as good as them.
There is nothing like this here...! Except for the weekly markets where you could find "porchetta", a special pork roast for a wonderful panino.
Oh gosh, I abide in plain suburbia, a town with less than 25,000 people, & we are so lacking in unique variety in many ways. My take out? Papa Murphey's Take n Bake Pizza. It's really delicious. This cart looks so shiny and new. Great photo! Do you take a photo walk everyday?
The cart is really cool :) great photo!
You've certainly been happy to find this one! So original!
Couldn't you have waited a few minutes and tried immediately?
I seldom go for take-out food; now and then from a pizzeira just crossing the street. They have the best and cheapest pizzas I have found in Paris!
some of these carts have excellent food and cheap! Love it (wonder if they know the band, Calexico?)
Yum!!
There are a lot of carts in Midtown along 5th and 6th Avenues. Many options to choose from!
love the design! did you get to try the food eventually?
I am too big of a wuss to eat at food carts...eventhough half the places I eat at are probably twice as dirty! :)
We have a KFC nearby or a Fish & Chip shop up the road. Best of all is the Chinese take away by the train station, about 5 mins drive, and it is the best in town!
I occasionally take-out coffee from the Mudtruck.
Oh yeah, I'd love to try some food from there too. The cart is enticing.
Paz
Fast food Italian-style is pizza by the slice or a selection of fried foods, like panzerotti (a kind of dumpling stuffed with tomato and mozzarella) or arancini (a ball of rice flavored with tomato sauce with a bit of mozzarella in the center).
Err...do they realise the guy is riding the bull backwards? =P
I hardly take-out anymore... saving $$$
