This is Plaça de Catalunya, on the northern end of La Rambla near the hostel where I'm staying. As you can see, the plaza is filled with pigeons and that is partly because there are a couple vendors sellings bags of bird seeds to tourists to feed the pigeons. Notice the balloons? They vendors also sell them.

Love this with the balloons! And what is that fabulous building with the gold-colored towers?
Can you get me that pink and white striped zebra please? :)

You obvioulsy do some nice travelling, first Italy, now Barcelona! Definetly nice places to visit!
In a certain way, it's a pity that your credit card problem was solved! I quite liked the idea of you tap dancing on the Rambla!
A real color fiesta you've got going there... I wonder if the 'tapas' are as good as they say?
So you feel right at home .. pigeons, balloon sellers .. just like NYC
Interesting subject. Nice comment.
You used to be able to buy seed to feed the pigeons in Trafalgar Square in london, but the powers that be ended that!
Colourful balloons :)
I love the colors in this photo!
thanks Ming! fantastic!
great shot with the balloons in the foreground !
The Rambla must be really beautiful... I've been there once, for a few minutes, at about 5 am, as I was travelling from Maiorca back to Italy... I would have preferred to stay the day but we had to hurry, so all I saw was the last drunken fellows trying to make their way home and the new agents opening up to receive the freshly printed papers....
The balloons and the buildings in the background make for a great shot. Glad you are having fun. Is your tap dancing career over? :(

What a coincidence. I posted something similar yesterday and now I find your post. I can't believe it. How's it going so far?
I love the picture and the balloons!
i want to steal all those balloons and go flying around.
Ah, this one I love! Near Passeig de Gràcia and the nice Prestige Hotel (it used to have a different name and was great when we stayed there...)! ;)
