This beautiful tiled ceiling under the Terrace Bridge leads park goers from the Litrary Walk to the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. Most people take the alternate outdoor staircases on either side of this tunnel and missed this display altogether.
So what are you plans for the weekend? I'm still recovering my jetlag.

Wonderful shot!
Breathtakingly beautiful and I enjoyed reading the excellent links regarding the historical details and back story. I have always wanted to visit this site and now I shall do so the next time I am in NYC. I just love your photos and information.
Got to catch up on some work but am going to spend Saturday afternoon with my girlfriends shopping, then stopping for a glass of wine.
Have you ever been to Belvedere Castle? Maybe that can be your next pic.
yeah looks great, interesting and an underpass full of grace.
That's gorgeous! Especially for a pedestrian tunnel!
Just watched Ballet Philippines' Neo Filipino — a fusion of ballet, jazz, ethnic and modern dance. It was fantastic!
So beautiful! I would never have expected that in a tunnel!
This weekend is enforced relaxation as I'm feeling a bit peaked! :-)
ahh i miss my city..this is gorgeous, i'm inspired!
Hi Ming!
So you're back, and missed Lisbon... Mistake!! ;))
It's true that I crossed this only two or three times; all the others took the alternate way... but it's wonderful!
Plans for the weekend? Comment on your last posts... ;)
Blogtrotter has Akbar’s capital city for you. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
cool lighting?
glad you had a nice vacation, Ming! You deserve it.
Hope you recover soon
Imagine the skill to photograph this lighting! Great shot!
Kicking back with family and friends this weekend--like usual! :-)
Welcome home. Can't wait for more pics about your trip.
I cannot believe we were right there by the bridge and walked next to it on the stairs and not under! Amazing shot-our loss, that's for certain.
Thanks Ming.
