MetLife & Helmsley

The ornate tower with the green roof is the Helmsley Building and one behind it is the MetLife Building. Both buildings sit in the middle of Park Avenue so automobile traffic has to be diverted around them.

So what is the tallest building in your city?

A lonely high rise built in the 60's, not more than 90 meters tall for 27 floors. But I like it.

l'Helmsley Building est toujours aussi beau....mais pourquoi ils ont construit le MetLife (c'est le pire de tout les building de NYC, il casse une superbe vue)
Helmsley Building is always so nice but why they constructed MetLife (it is the worst of everything building of NYC, it breaks a superb view)

I haven't been blogging lately due to being so busy with the variety Show, but it's all over for another year and I can get back to the serious business of reading blogs!
The tallest building in my city... well, there's a 5 storey apartment building at the end of my street.... does that count?

I like the ornate Helmsley. So much more interesting than the beehive behind it. But what are they doing in the middle of the street? That's so strange…

I love how the light is shining on the side of the Helmsley building.
cool shot.
I think the north Shore towers may be the tallest building here on Long Island, but I'm not sure.

Courtesy of Wiki:

"The tallest building in Los Angeles is the 73-story U.S. Bank Tower, which rises 1,018 feet (310 m) in Downtown Los Angeles and was completed in 1989.[1] It also stands as the tallest building in the state of California and the 9th-tallest building in the United States."

I won't even pretend that I knew it's name tho it certainly stand out in the LA skyline.

That would clearly be the Astoria Column, on top of the hill at the end of the "emerald road." I'll have photos of it coming soon! This afternoon was really nice :)

has to be one of my favorite spots in the city.

I absolutely love how the buildings frame this view, and how you whip around in a car through the underpass and come out the other side.
