The tourist bus and horse drawn carriages in the photo above are a common sight at Central Park South on 60th Street near 5th Avenue. This is because NYC received over 46 million tourists a year and they contributed over $85.8 billion to the local economy (both 2007 data). For that, I would like to say THANK YOU to those who have visited us recently. And for those who have not visited us yet, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you.
Does that make me the Ambassador of New York City?

Greatl pic, Ming! Those beautiful tulips to frame a complex scene. We have one of those double decked buses too, and the carriage as well. If it wasn't for the yellow taxi...
Yes , i think you're a great ambassador and i wish i could visit NYC one day !!!
Nice photo in five levels: flowers; people; transportation; trees; and, sky!
Ming you are a splendid ambassador indeed!! Lovely tourist picture. The tourists have arrived in Alaska too.... I work in downtown Anchorage and they are so happy, adorable and welcome!!! I enjoy stopping to help with directions and finding out where they are from.
The best kind:)
How I'd love to visit NYC! Its on my list of things to do. Someday.
You are a wonderful ambassador for NYC! I think I know just where this is. I took a photo of the whtie and magenta tulips also. They are gorgeous! And we took the horse and carriage ride with a wonderful Irish driver, who pointed out all of the sights. It's nice to see this picture :)
I think you're one of many great ambassadors of NYC, Ming. New Yorkers get a bad rap for being unfriendly--I find they're mostly friendly, just at a faster pace. I hope to get to New York this summer for a long overdo visit--haven't been in three years. If I do, I guarantee you won't see me on a tour bus or in a carriage.
yea, but can you not stand in the middle of he sidewalk and stair at the buildings, or come to a stop at the top of the subway stairs. Us New Yorkers have to get from one place to another
We went on one of these when we first visited NYC. The tour guide was fantastic. He was really well informed and imparted some great information on us. Well worth the money. Next time we'll go on the night tour :)
Great shot with the tulips in there! Will go just as soon as humanly possible! Thanks for the invite!

yes, a big thank you to you tourists for coming but please don't go to times square and walk side-by-side with your loved one on the sidewalk because you're blocking everyone's way to work. i say work because most nyers avoid times square with a passion and only pass through when they have to.
wonderful tulips. These are uncommon and pretty colors.
Nice pict with the flowers!
Love the tulips. Great picture, Ming. I've tried both modes of transport as a tourist. Love visiting NYC as you know. The horse drawn carriages are fun-but pricey.
You're the best kind of ambassador!

Loved our gray line tour of NYC - really nice driver; we sat on the upper deck, out in the open, and ducked when we went under street lights.
PS Beautiful shot of the flowers!
gorgeous tulips. such color and volume
The Gray Line tour was one of our highlights during our last trip. The guides were tremndously funny and, obviously, every corner of the city breathtaking.
Can't wait to do it again!
Love love love those tulips in the foreground! Beautiful shot.
