Spring Romance

Spring is here and these Mallard ducks are getting ready to start a family soon. Although ducks are not known for their monogamous relationships like swans and cranes, this pair seemed to be spending a lot of time together.

So what is your favorite Spring activities?

Davis has a ton of ducks and it's quite common to see duck orgies and duck rape. It's quite terrifying. I was walking to class and a female duck went flying frantically by. Bewildered, I stopped, only to see her plucked out of the sky and pulled down by 4 male ducks who had their wicked way with her. Ayayay. It's traumatizing to watch!

these two are so cute. & I love that they are hanging out together.
My favorite Spring activities are gardening and biking. I also like spending time walking around the city during the week whenever I can.

Where did you find these ducks? I took a very similar shot (we seem to be doing that lately), but haven't posted it yet. Fave spring activities? I don't have a garden of my own (and hate digging in the soil anyway), but I love hanging out in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where other people do all the work to make it gorgeous.

Very cute! It looks like some scenes from the town where I grew up. Lots of water, ducks and alligators.
