Central Park: Benches II

Here is a photo of another type of benches found at Central Park. These are older and less aesthetically decorative, although just as beautiful. They are made of untreated (unpainted) wood planks secured together by steel bolts and simply decorated with wronght iron works.

Another great photo! Were they comfortable to sit on?

Nice detail!
Thank you, Ming, for all the explanations you gave me about the appearance of my blog. We have been several to be interested! But i was not able to do what you said in the second time because all around my blog is in French and i didn't find how to reduce the white sides...but it isn't a worry! Thanks again and i wish you a nice Monday.

interesting shapes but are they comfortable? Would I want to laze away an hour with a good book there?
How's the weather?

belinda & angela - No, these are not as comfortable as the other benches. You probably won't enjoy sitting on it for long.

It's been raining nonstop since Saturday night. Eck!

Beautiful iron work. I can see it wouldn't be so comfortable to sit on but goodness, so lovely to look at.

This is another good photograph with a different appearance. At first I thought it was the same one but discovered it is new.

Thanks too for visiting my blog. And my wife is entering her last three days of radiation treatments. Thank you for asking about her.

j'aime beaucoup cette serie sur les bancs de central park. J'avais remarque de plus en plus de jardin à NYC, faisait comme central park, avec les plaques en hommage aux amis sur les bancs.

I like much this series on the benches of exchange park. I had remark more and more garden with NYC, made like exchange park, with the plates in homage to the friends on the benches.

I've been toying with the idea that you're from either S'pore or M'sia. That's something oddly familiar about you. Lord knows where i got this feeling from.

I love the perspective!I think these benches are much more prettier than the new ones.

Very good, these two shots on park benches! So decorative, each in their own way!

i think i'd like to lay on the grass better than in an iron bench... ;)

As long as the seat is not wrought iron, which would make my bottom very cold, I'm OK with them ;-)

Another vote for the grass! But the benches are great for sitting on to scoff a hotdog bought from one of the vendors at the park entrance!
