Sunday Brunch

I love Sunday brunch. This is one of my favorite breakfast meals -- eggs cooked sunnyside up, sausages, home fries, rye toasts with butter and a cup of good coffee. Yes, it is cholesterolville and not something to be eaten every morning but it is a perfect meal before a visit to the museum or a walk around the city on a Sunday morning.

Chuckeroon of Richmond upon Thames Daily Photo has a totally different idea of a perfect Sunday breakfast. And I think his choice is healthier than mine. What would you like for Sunday brunch?

N.B.: I will be in Washington, DC for the next couple of days. Two&2 of LA Daily Photo will be posting the photos for me if I do not have access to a computer in DC.

Your Sunday brunch looks yummy! But it's much cholesterol for me! LOL! I like a big mug with coffee and milk, (without sugar or sweet), two toasts without butter, only with yogurt on it, papaya or pear.

Have a good Sunday!

Nothing like a big fry up to start the day! Good way to load up on protein too, so you can walk the museums for hours without interruption...although I wouldn't recommend this type of breakfast every day, no matter how delicious it looks! ;o)

It looks yummy and now you are ready for a good long day.

Urm, I couldn't think past the 5.5 inch heel. Is that for real?! *the mind reels*

Recently, I've been making myself one Nutella-and-fresh-strawberry crepe for breakfast. Yummy!

Oh, have a good time in DC. I really like that town... and there are so many photo ops. I wish I had taken more photos when I lived near there.

Ah, great post and question.

My choice for Sunday brunch would be Eggs Benedict and a glass of Pinot Grigio.

...to hell with the cholesterol!

Enjoy Washington DC, Ming.

Oh for the love of food! said...

Hey Ming, I don't mind bread, butter and potatoes, but I rarely eat sausages, bacon, ham and other cold meats now . That's because in 2000, I went on the Atkins Diet for a whole year and had these sort of food very often because they were convenient. Boy was I glad to get back to carbs after that. It's not worth being a size 6 if you can't eat what you like (in moderation) when you like it. We still go for brunches like these once in awhile because my daughters enjoy them but I would just have a mocha, some toast with preserves or a chicken pie.

IDEALLY though, I would love to have some piping hot Nasi Lemak instead. or some Chye Thau Kueh. or some BBQ pork wanton noodles.. well you get the idea!

Have a nice time in Washington and even if correct spelling is "Buon giorno" your own spelling would be so appreciated by girls here... :-)

That's about the yummiest breakfast/brunch imaginable... but you have to add some fried musrooms too. I usually have a piece of toast (homemade bread) and marmalade (again, homemeade) and a cuppa coffee with milk, not cream, and no sugar. But a full bacon'n'egg brekky is winderful once in a while!

Yum! My kind of brunch! Hey, by the way: Rosa is putting together a Sunday Brunch Meme event. I think this is a great submission for it. The deadline is June 30. I plan on participating and since my brunch consists of the same food as your photo, I was going to send a similar photo. Or I may actually make something... Look here for more info.

Nice photo. I like your choices too. I am on a diet now so I am on to Cheerios and a banana and some fruit.

I can have what you are having for my sunday breakfast, not brunch. Lunch is some other food, eg curries. :D

ouch!
I think I don't have such a stomach for eating that on a Sunday morning... I'd propably take this for a heavy lunch!
On Sunday i usually have a couple of toast bread with marmelade and a glass of milk...

Mmmmmm, I'll sit with you and have brunch too. What a great start to a good Sunday!

I had just the rye toast and coffee for my breakfast today. Of course I didn't take a long walk until after supper, when I'd had a lot more to eat.

Yum yum
Your Sunday brunch looks delicious

I usually do not have time for brunch on Sundays, but I am thinking of "HK Chee Cheong Fun" and the various dim sums now...

Yum!! When I visited my daughter a few weeks ago, I realized what a big deal brunch in NYC is! We went to a little French bistro called La Bonne Soupe, which is fantastic - very French! I just love breakfast.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, but I abhor going out for sunday or even saturday brunch. People make way too big of a deal out of it, and the lines at some places are ridiculous.
