I'm back in NYC and regular programming will resume.
This photo was taken a couple months ago at an Italian cafe called, Caffe Dante in the Greenwich Village . My friend and I were early for a movie so we stopped in here for some coffee and gelati, and that was when I noticed the reflection on the window. What you see there are some of the most beautiful and expensive townhouses in Manhattan. These buildings are very characteristic of the Village's architecture. The cafe is very popular among hipsters and tourists alike, so if you are even in NYC, you should stop by Caffe Dante.

So how was your month of July when I was away? Did anything exciting happen?

Te voila de retour dans la Big City. Alors content de ton voyage ? je ne connais pas le "Caffe Dante" mais je note pour octobre, quand j'irais faire une ballade dans greenwich, je passerais prendre un capu.

Hi Ming,
Welcome home to the Big Apple. I have enjoyed the photos of your trip and look forward to more of New York.
I will certainly check out the Caffe Dante when I am there in September.
I have a feeling that I was there. Was it there three years ago (unfortunatley my too long ago latest NYC trip)?
Thanks for your posts during your long vacation trip!
... and now daily NYC again!
Yeah! NY again....mucky and rough but looking great! Can't beat the old hom town.
Olivier & John - If you guys would like to meet up when you're in NYC, let me know.
Peter - I believe it has been there for years, if not decades. :-)
Chuckeroon - There is no place like HOME!!!
Nice to see you back again!
You ask what we got up to in July. Well, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, ad nauseum!
Lorenzo.
Welcome Home Ming!!!!!!
What a picture! Welcome home.
Hi Ming
Welcome back!
It's now back to regular programming I guess :-)
What was the lady in the reflection eating? She seems to be enjoying it!
The Village - it is a place everyone has heard of but not all of us have seen.
Ming, it's so nice to have you back. The most significant thing about my July was home pleasures - gardening and reading and thinking.
HeyMing! So, you're back in your comfort zone. Have you gone out to celebrate? HA!HA!
Glad to have you back. July? What can I say...it has flown by!!
Oh your back! I have missed you, it was great to see pics from you travels but can't wait to see some more of New York. I saw a friend today who lives just outside NYC she said its very humid there at the mo. She has been telling me lots of stories and I so want to be there in Manhattan! hopefully next year x
Great to see you back, lucky traveller!
Nice shot; like reflections.
Caffe Dante was there at MacDougall Street in 1979, my first time in NYC. But it seems that they're on business since at least ten years before John dos Passos wrote Manhattan Transfer in 1925...
Enjoy!
Caffé Dante eh? Aaaand do they know who Dante Alighieri was? What did he write? Or only gelati and caffé there? :-))
I missed your blog and your questions. Really. Happy you're back.
Did you like your holiday in Jersey city? How did you find Staten Island? And Queensborough? ---> Teasing you :-))
nope, it was uneventful
Lovely!! Welcome back.
And where's YOUR reflection in the window?
Welcome back to NYC.Missed your pictures of NYC.
Welcome back!
Nope, nothing happened at all while you were gone. BTW, beware of the frozen zone in midtown, but really ... nothing happened.
Welcome home, Ming!
Love that photo with gorgeous townhouses! The word "Bon Appétit", is very suggestive!
I'm glad you're back . . . those other pictures were nice, but there's nothing like the Big Apple . . .
