Chibi's Bar in SoHo

This is the flag/logo for Chibi's Bar in SoHo, which is connected to the Kitchen Club, a American-Japanese fusion restaurant on the corner of Prince and Mott. This type of restaurants and bars are typical of what you would find in this neighborhood.

I haven't eaten here before but the American-Japanese fusion concept sounds interesting. What is your favorite type of cuisine?

Neat photo. Your comment about it are interesting to me. Having lived in Japan I have fond memories of the native food there. All but dried squid -- I don't like. I remember Soba from the street vendors was always excellent. That and Army coffee were almost enugh to die for.

I don't really know what my favourite cuisine is because I eat everything which is served. It really depends on my mood but most of the time,I enjoy Thai cuisine.

I was intrigued to see the French bulldog and see that this is Chiba, the owner's dog. Great!

I like so much food so long as it doesn't include meat. Italian, French, Asian, Indian - just good fresh food...

Know there'd be something wonderful in this place, Ming. Let's do lunch!

I don't like the fusion thing. I like my food pure.

Well...I've taken to SUSHI of late. Having professed not to care for it in the past, it's starting to grow on me. Plus, I never realized that it's one of the cheapest foods in NYC.

Oh...home grown simply prepared Italian is also one of my all-time favs!

My favorite cuisine would have to be southern home cooking with a touch of Cajun.

I love Thai and Szechewan food... anything spicy! And Indian food is wonderful. I'm not a big meat eater, I prefer veggies. But I don't eat out often, I prefer to cook at home.

I'm with Ex-Shamikite. I love my Indian food. Indian food is the new Chinese food, if you get what I mean. Love Chibi on the poster. My favourite breed.

After fishing today I'd like to say my favorite cuisine is fish - but instead it must be soup, taken out of the freezer and warmed up.

How did I miss this one? Love the flag - cute.
Favourite cuisine? Here's my problem: I eat everything. I love food. And I love to travel in my plate. Least favourite must be Mexican.

Awwww.....cute pooch! Ming - you keep giving me things to add to my list of places to visit when I'm in town - thanks! Your blog's an endless source of information and inspiration :o)

Now my favourite cuisine would have to be Italian (I LOVE LOVE LOVE pasta) and Thai, especially the curries and a good Tom Yum soup.

I agree with you though - Japanese American fusion sounds interesting. Maybe it's sushi served in a burger bun?? Hahaha :oP
