Who Wants Pizza?

I took this photo of a gorgeous eggplant pizza that was on display at the window of a fancy pizza restaurant at Union Square. The restaurant is located next to the NYU dormitory on 14th Street between Broadway and 3rd Avenue so most of the diners here are students. I have eaten here a couple of times and the pizza is quite delicious.

So what do you like on your pizza?

OMG..I'm totally drooling now...

I like sausage, onions, sometimes bell peppers when I'm in the mood..eggplant, broccoli, tomatoes, sometimes chicken. Other times just plain with cheese!!

I am sooo glad it is eggplant. I thought if that's sausage then I am ever so thankful I don't have to eat anemic meat like that.

Stop it, Ming! I'm hungry...

My favorite? Tomatoes, mozzarella, origano - with a glass of red, thanks.

Yum! Looks good!!! Never tried that one.
I must say I am a bit lost with the pizza offering here. It is so much different from the pizza I grew up with. I had never seen brocoli on a pizza before.
I still like the big classics: quattro stagioni;
margherita, napoletana, quattro formaggi, capricciosa,... Can't go wrong with that. Not a big fan of the clazoni though - too much dough for my taste. Damn, I am hungry now!

This one would do me just fine! Gorgeous is the right word!

I make my own pizza. I make the dough in the bread machine, and the toppings consist of whatever is in the fridge.
But I love onions, tomatoes, lots and lots of cheese, in fact all veggies, olives, sometimes chicken, not a lot of meat, sometimes ham, and if there's a smattering of Thai sweet chilli sauce too then I'm happy. Not really original Italian seasoning but.....

That is a good lookin' pizza. I myself like Canadian bacon, some tomatoes, light sauce, and goat or sheep cheese.

That's kind of you to think that Lamont and Leland got their cooking genes from me--actually their Daddy was quite the cook. And we're all lucky when they head for the kitchen, any kitchen!

I like it in the only way pizza should be:
- 30g of tomato (S.Marzano is the best quality)
- 7g of olive extra vergin oil
- 50g of Mozzarella di Bufala
- just a bit of basil
- salt

Nothing more. --- I wait for you here to go to eat a *real* pizza :-)
