Union Square Park

This photo was taken last Saturday at the park in Union Square. The weather was amazingly beautiful so everyone was outside enjoying the city. I saw a group of friends hanging out and having a conversation at one of the tables and a girl trying to read at another table. There were others walking their dogs inside the park.

However, the weather turned hot and humid yesterday and it was unbearable. I had to switch on the air-conditioner to sleep last night. How is the weather where you are at?

I like the pouty girl on the left!

Yeah, it's been weird lately in NYC. Cold in the morning, sweltering hot as the day progresses.

Thanks for asking about the weather here, Ming. Between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., all of the clouds disappeared, the sun lit up the city, and by 5 p.m. when I got off work, it must have been 73 degrees. After work, I boarded the bus for the trip west across the river, then I walked block after block, taking pictures. I felt like a honey bee gorging on the last summer flowers. You see, rain is forecast for Thursday, possibly thunderstorms. Considering I've heard thunder twice since we moved here in June, 2006, that'll be exciting!

Thanks so much for visiting Portland (OR) Daily Photo on ABC Wednesday. The couple does look happy, don't they? In fact, the driver has a nice smile, too. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time and then to get their permission to post the photo.

Is the lady on the left not very happy?

The weather is a bit moody and pouty like the lady on the left in Singapore.

It has been cool and raining in the early mornings, then the afternoon gets hot and sticky.

So thankful for the invention called Air-Con!

WE had a three month drought that killed lots of things including most of our lawn. Now that was plowed and replanted and I have been watering three times a day for three weeks and then we got some rain yesterday and more overnight and some today. Blessings.

What a lovely place to seat and read a book or chat with friends.
Your city is just wonderful, Ming!

About the weather, it's cold and windy just now,... but I think it's only for few days, because the weather in this time of the year is warm, sunny and bright.

Thanks for your nice comments on my blogs. Now, answering your questions:
1) Don't worry about, my husband was driving when I took that photo.
2) You had a great idea, to sit on the wheat field and have someone to take a photo of mine posing like the painting. But there was a fence and .... I fear so much ants and bugs...(LOL)
3) The post about sandals and socks was a joke, my husband only used it like you do, at home during cold winter days.

As always, I love your photos of New York! Have a nice day!

well, it was 90 degrees and very humid for several days, but starting yesterday it has been raining like a monsoon and cold.

this is not normal for the midwest.

Here in Wisconsin the sleeping weather is perfect. I've been under blankets with the windows open for the past two nights.

Also, today I took a photo of a man sitting in the sun. Perhaps I will post it next time I get to a computer. Your shot of the girl reminds me of my shot of the guy.

Let see.. the weather seems to be exactly the same as what you are experimenting... ;)

This picture is a nice slice of life: she looks as if she is sulking while those guys are having such a great time. Maybe she is studying?

I am catching up: I have been so busy at work and missed one of my favorite blog about my favorite city!!!

It's been raining here quite a bit, but I don't mind it. I hear that we're gonna have extended periods of hot weather for the rest of the year, though. BUMMER!

Cool and nice last week, then turn hot early this week and seems to be cooler today and hopefully tmr and the coming weekend. I don't mind the heat. It's usually the humidity that I dislike.
