5th Avenue & 59th Street

This is one of the busiest intersections in Manhattan, on 5th Avenue and 59th Street. On the upper left corner, you can see the beginning of Central Park and right behind me is the Apple Cube store.

So did you do any after-Christmas sale? What did you buy?

I like Grand Army Plaza, by the way I never saw it so crowded...During the after Christmas Sale I bought a new laptop computer because my old one died just a week ago (he was almost 4 years old) !!! What about you Ming ?

And that building on the corner is A la vieille Russie. The clock is the Sherry-Netherland.
I like it that I can, for once, show my deep knowldge of the city. Hem, hem! ;)
I splurged on a USD internet connection. Ooooh fancy!
And you Ming? You ask all those questions, it's only fair you tell us too. ;)

I love that corner. Especially the little movie theater right there.

Nope, no post-Christmas shopping for me. Haven't gone shopping in ages.

Can see the weather is warming up though it might be still chilly up there.

You know here in central Taiwan, pple dress as if they are on ski slopes even if it's 18-20degC.

I did have a small share of shopping when I was back in CA during Xmas. After that, I have been good. No shopping other than groceries. :O

Actually it doesn't look that crowded to me. Good shot!

I bought a new zip-up hoodie jacket from GAP. My old one was pilling and has fuzz all over. So out with the old and in with the new for the new year. :-)

Also I returned a pair of boots that I bought online. They didn't fit around my toes because I have FAT CHUBBY toes. :-( So no cute shoes for me.

I am always amazed at the amount of people on a New York sidewalk day after day.

I have something on my blog today about New York that you never knew.

So TWO questions today!! Of course, if your reply NO to the first one (and that's my case), you dont't have to answer the second one, I suppose. Nice of you to answer your own questions - of course on specific demand.

Always so many things to look at on your photos...
Here, you might buy an umbrella "en solde", it's raining again and again. Bad weather for shopping!

After-Christnas sales?
I bought a skirt and 2 sweaters and it only cost me $23... what with half price sales, coupons and seniors discount!!
And on Saturday we're going shopping to buy a crib for the soon-to-be-grandbaby!

I have a $65 gift card to The Grove (the up-to-the-minute LA shopping mall) but I have yet to use it. And I go to the Grove virtually everyday on my lunch hour. Indecisive and just not a very good consumer, that's me.

Not surprisingly, Apple got themselves a place in the limelight then. Is the store still as crowded when it's no longer a novelty?

I'm ALWAYS buying stuff...and also giving away stuff! It's Christmas all year round for me. :-) But to play along, let's see: books, clothes, health items, gifts, and a new frame for newly purchased photo.

Rather boring shot of crowds of people in urban setting. Unimpressed thus far. Now, if you could engineer a bus to plough through the crowds, that would make for a nice shot...
