wow ! i didn't know there were cable cars in NY !! I think you could take great shot from above !
vue impressionnante. j'aime beaucoup faire une petite visite sur Roosevelt Island
Great views. I love getting a little visit to Roosevelt Island
It's so impressive, I had no idea there was a cable car there, it must be beautiful!
Oh yes, I surely have... back in Argentario, Tuscany, my drive to work was absolutely stunning and every morning I really enjoyed driving, listening to the radio...
I passed by this, the other day in a car, and wanted to take a photo but we passed by so quickly, before I could even pull out my camera.
Perfect shot!
Paz (who was once stuck on the tram before)
I had no idea there was a cable car anywhere in NYC, how exciting!
The scenic route? When I went to work, I had 2 choices of route.... the highway or the country roads. I chose the country roads. And sometimes the country roads were faster than the highway which would be jammed with cars if there was an accident or bad weather.
Cool! I work up the block from there. Have never been out to Roosevelt Island, but might take the scenic trip one day just for fun and some photo opps.
Every morning when I ride the M104 vs the Broadway IRT 1 or 9 ...
Me too. I' m clueless about cable cars in NYC. Are they for tourists or is that public trans. for some? I have no idea here. Enlighten us mighty Ming.

I must do this next time I visit NYC!
On my NYC visit in spring, 2007, I took the cable car across to the island. Great views, interesting trip and on the other side a bus will take you all around the island and back to the cable car. Wonderful park areas with benches to stare out at the water and the skyline. I recommend it.

Oh how wonderful! I wish we had something like this!
I used to ride that car a lot to play tennis on Roosevelt Island. It passes creepily close to some high-rise apartments. I'd hate to live in them and have people going by on the cable car every 20 minutes looking into my window!
It's how many of us commute to work and school every day from Roosevelt Island.
